Then she is probably already Bella, LOL, if a Daddy's daughter wants it so, but I'm going to agree with Sunrise on the initial thread and say

Ingrid

because it is a good choice for a traditional German girl's name and yes, I too think she looks like Ingrid Bergman somehow.

I actually thought about Chili.

I had a GSD years ago named Pepper, so Chili made sense. I got vetoed!

you get the idea.

But you need a nice name you can introduce her by and that you whisper to her when she's being good, and then a secondary name to yell when she's eaten a newspaper...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I loved a bunch of them, but I think we've settled on Tempe (based on the character Temperance Brennan, a.k.a. "Bones"). She has a vet appointment tomorrow evening, so we'll find out what's going on with her health at that time. She's eating great, and has already probably put on a few pounds. I'm hoping she has no parasites. She's become quite comfortable in our home and snuggled on the couch with DH and Keira last night. We're going to need to work on manners, since she likes to jump and about knocked me over this morning with her front paws on my shoulders (and I'm NOT short)!

I'm going to copy and paste this into the thread on the PG too. Thanks again everyone!!

So very happy that she now has a loving home. It is difficult for this pudgy pug to look at a hungry dog. Hope you post pics again after putting about five pounds on that precious frame!

Let us know what the vet says-- VERY EXCITING, you guys are doing a wonderful thing!

And I love the name, b/c I totally watch Bones and the irony (b/c she's skinny right now...) is very clever

(and I agree with NoWeigh-- as an owner of "skinny" greyhounds, who are anything BUT

I hate to see any dog going without-- without love, without a home, without food...)
