Thank you's from my DH!

I just wanted to let all you wonderful JUDDD Budd's know that my husband is extremely greatful to you all. About 3 months ago he joined me in JUDDD.

We had been doing LC (which I still do mostly) and he's always been disparaging and sneaking food behind my back but with JUDDD he is a changed man. He faithfully keeps his DD's without any pressure from me and purposely eats a little less than he should on his UD's (well most of the time

)

As a result, he was a little over 300 lbs when we started and of weighing this morning, he stepped off the scale at 264.4 pounds, which means he's lost 35 pounds in a little under 3 months.

Anyway, yesterday he was talking about how amazed he is that he is able to lose weight and eat what he wants! It is so totally doable and I just want to encourage you all to keep it up and thank you for the help everyone gave him (vicariously) in the beginning

This is a really helpful post, Elise, thank you. Congratulations to your husband - I'm sure it hasn't been a walk in the park, even though it may have been easier for him, and he's worked hard.

WTG to your DH! Mine's been JUDDDing again for a little while and I can totally see the difference, though he doesn't weigh. He's trying to take a little bit of weight off before WLS, but may continue JUDDDing for maintenance when he gets there. We often say how men have it easier, but I think it takes just as much dedication for them as it does for us. They just get more calories to play with.

Awesome!!

My fiancé is doing JUDDD with me too....it sure helps a lot. He found it difficult to keep on the low carb with me, so we've decided to just do lower carb on the DDs, and eat whatever we want on the UD. How can you NOT like eating ANYTHING every other day?

Whoo hooo!!!! Congrats to your DH - and to you for being such a power of example. My DH has lost 15lbs since starting JUDDD and is loving it. I can hardly keep him off the scale!

Well truth be told I only like the scale now too

In the past there have been several not so veiled suggestions that it might go flying through a window, but we have made our peace because it tells me roughly what I want it to and I pay a lot more positive attention to it now that it does

.

Oh and I forgot to mention, thanks from me too, because that 6'2 frame is looking better by the day and now that he's strutting (no I'm not joking, he does) around in size 38 jeans, he's becoming very easy on the eyes

This is true. In my husband's case it still takes determination to pull his cals down to 1000. He's glad he only has to do that 1 and 1/2 days per week to mantain.

to you and your hubby! That is an amazing three month loss.

My DH has been JUDDDing for 4 months now and has gone from a 38 to a 32. He thanks me almost every day for "putting him" on this diet. I tell him that I didn't put him on anything, I just introduced it.
