Nice job, Soren!

B - Hard boiled egg and 2 cups of coffee w/half n half

L - a cup of sliced cukes w/apple cider vinegar

D - Not sure....We 'normally' go out for fish fry. Can't do that this week! Maybe I can get away with eating a little of my leftover hashbrowns from last night's UD dinner.

Sipping on green tea, Mojito Crystal Light, and WATER all day!!

Not sure yet. I am not hungry so just coffee so far.
I have some cauliflower rice, shrimp and rotel planned for later, may make a soup of it (about 120 cals).
I am going to make rotel and velveeta dip later, so a little of that and making some lavash or pita chips (low-carb) so another 200 cals about.

I am going to try to make today a DD to. So I plan to just have a large salad today
for about 500 calories. Have any of you done 2 DD's in a row and how did that work for you?

Gah! For some reason I am a starvin' marvin today. But hanging in there. 600 calorie goal.

B: 1/2 english muffin w/1 egg & 1 slice Canadian Bacon - 140
L: Joseph's pita w/turkey & LC wedge - 135, watermelon - 65
D: Not sure yet - I'm a bit worried because I have plans to go to the Starbucks/B&N cafe' with some friends this evening. Debating seeing if I can swing a 200 calorie coffee there for dinner or eating some protein beforehand and then just having a large water and/or some diet pepsi. We'll see how I feel later.

Hi E.W.

Usually, they (Dr J's book, etc) do not recommend 2 DDs in a row. You don't want your body to go into starvation mode, you just want to shake it up with alternate day fasting.

So, if you want to eat UP on a down day, you have some options:

1) make today a Medium Day-- so you'd go DD, MD, UD... the calories you shoot for is the average of your up and down (ud + dd=x/2)

2) some people would just have 2 up days in a row, and start the rotation again on after the last UD

3) some people would do a DD, but look on the DD calculator to see what the higher % numbers are, and go for that. I.e. if you usually do 500 on a DD, maybe you could do 700, save them all for that meal, and still call it a DD.

in summary-- you don't want to do 2 DD in a row, and if you do the MD thing, you want to go DD-MD-UD-DD, so that you always have a DD after an UD, b/c you want to go into it having had the right amount of food the day before.

LOL clear as mud?

S.
***************

p.s. I'm still pumped about my loss, but I just had a session with my grief counselor so that's brought me down a bit... and I chipped my lower tooth (you totally can't see it at ALL ,but I can feel it with my tongue and I'm ANNOYED ).

Anyway-- rest of my DD is going as planned, will report later, but looking at 508 cal and 30g carbs

Just transferred to a different job and it is SO boring and SLOW! I don't know what to do with myself! I've become a little depressed and just want to lay in bed all day, every day The grass isn't always greener on the otherside, and now I'm paying the price.

I will be having water, SF Powerade, water and maybe some chocolate

That is a bummer Melisa! I hope the job gets more interesting!

Today I had coffee, a couple of bites of cottage cheese and an avocado roll. I'm sitting at about 350 calories so far for the day. I'm not sure what dinner will be, probably some soup or some salad.

I have done 2 DD's in a row. I didn't plan it- it just happened and worked better for my schedule that week. I didn't notice any significant weight loss changes.

Not recommended, you can always put a MD in there, but if YOU want to do 2 DD's- go for it, but if you made a habit of it you might see some differences in your rate of loss!

one or 2 days in the change of your "diet plan" either way - up or down, should not derail your weight loss over the course of a week or two, just depends on how soon you want to reach your goal.
