Such an inspiring, positive group! I sooooooooo wish this was easy -- for all of us, but it is not. What defines us is how we continue the struggle because we can't at all define the results for ourselves.

I have to own up that my major weight loss was with Atkins in 2001.

I came to JUDDD last October about 136. I lost to my goal, 126, in under 3 months and dropped well below that with no hassle very easily. And now, I am living and loving a life which includes all the food on the planet. While improving my health.

I need to rewrite my stats again to make that clearer.

I think the best part of JUDDD is the mental aspect-- the bit of discipline you have to find on the DDs, and on UDs not to go off the deep end... combined with the liberation from the "all or nothing" mentality of so many other eating plans and diets.
So Very True!!! LIBERATION!!!

Joyjoy, sorenkkg, cuttie99, sunday - Sheesh, all of you mean so much to me, you'll never know!

Forgive me, this is longer than I anticipated.

Some of you have heard this before .. when I did JUDDD a few years ago, when it first came out, I lost 14 lbs. pretty easily before going on vacation (and you know the rest). I kept track of DD calories only and kept those at 500 or under.

I tried JUDDD a few other times, but since beginning again in March this has been the most dedicated I've been to it since the first time. I'm a pretty routine eater during the week. I've got a DD menu I like and it comes in at between 400-500 calories. When I wasn't losing after the first few pounds, I took suggestions to count my calories and shock of shocks, I wasn't eating enough! Once I did, I began losing. So keeping UD calories from going over isn't a problem.

I've added things, deducted things. Heck, I'm even drinking dirt to see if that helps!!! Since I had begun losing before the surgery, I suspect the stress of it stalled me, then all the goings on afterwards (stress of surgery, healing, etc.) is what's holding me back now. Since then, I'm having a hard time sticking to my DDs - I am just hungry all the time! Which leads me (and thanks to a personal PM), apparently my body needs the fuel to continue healing. Why it can't use the fat already there is beyond me!!!!!

So many here are seeing such huge successes. I am truly happy for them - at the same time envious and a bit angry that success escapes me. I can't be doing anything so drastically different that it works for everyone but me, right? So, I either have to continue with it and hope beyond hope I see some success or ditch it, eat as healthy as I can and just live with the weight. I'll say this - "dieting" for 30 years I guess means I'm not a quitter. A whiner, yes.

I do appreciate the suggestions, helps, and hugs. I will stick with JUDDD because .. I have nowhere else to go.

Love you guys!

Maybe maintenance again Vanilla until you are well and truly healed inside and out? Every time someone announces maintenance they seem to go on and log losses I would kill for in diet mode LOL! Just a thought.
