Yep, we were taking up space on the NSV thread so I decided to start a new thread, K?

So, it turns out Seabreezes lives in Hawaii but is in CA right now. I live in CA but will be visiting Hawaii in Sept. We were saying how fun it would be to get together and I asked Seabreezes where in CA she is right now.

Turns out, very close! I get to drive 13 miles tomorrow and meet her for lunch! Wooo-Hooo!!!

Seabreezes: Now I'm thinking I'll wear capris because I don't want to have to shave my legs if I wear shorts.

We are in the foothills of California - in a place most people have never heard of and here we are only a couple of towns away from each other! So glad I sent you a note!

This is weird. A collision of virtual worlds. Hope you two have a fabulous time.

I was in Toronto yesterday, on the subway, and a woman from Los Angeles was asking me for help with directions to touristy attractions. Because so many of you are American (at least I think that's why), I started to wonder whether she was a JUDDD bud. And then I started to absolutely love her. Does this ever happen to you guys?

I think I'll call to see if I can get reservations for a table close to the windows. I would hate for it to be crowded at noon and then we would have to wait.

It's funny you would say that about wondering if someone is a JUDD BUDD. When I'm traveling around, sometimes I wonder in general if anyone in the airport or in a city I'm visiting is a JUDD BUDD. But, if we tried to ask someone and they are not, they wouldn't know what the heck we are talking about!

It's a wonderful Italian restaurant and I've been there many times. They have a great selection and I'm planning to pour over the menu and choose something yummy!

As some of you read earlier, I was hit by a car in Turkey at the end of May. I am able to drive here in CA!! No chauffering around by hubby! My right arm is still not where it should be, but with more open country roads I am fine. The concrete parking structures and traffic are not something I want to tackle in Hawaii just yet.

We had a great time!

Lunch was yummy, but the conversation even better. We kept commenting on what a neat group of people on the JUDDD site. Wish we could all get together.

The really nice thing is we will have a couple more chances to get together this year.

OK, I'll fess up!

I started out with iced tea with lemon. Then had a mixed green salad with fresh cherry tomatoes, the yummiest red onion ever, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing on the side. Then I opted for one of their daily specials. It was a grilled chicken breast with cheese, tomatoes, onions and lettuce on fresh focaccia bread. I opted to only eat 1/4 of the bread, but finished off the rest!

I had iced tea, Caesar salad with dressing on the side and a grilled chicken sandwich with cream cheese, spinach leaves, cranberry sauce and red onion on toasted whole wheat bread. I ate all the filling and about half the bread. Quite yummy.

I just got back from going out to dinner with a couple who used to work for us. I had a taco salad and left all of the taco shell. Tomorrow will have to be much lower in calories as we are out to dinner on Wednesday again with more employees.

We're real!

It was so fun to talk and talk. Our conversation hopped around from different books we have read about WL to different ways to do IF. Then we talked about this JUDD forum and how amazingly up beat it is. More so than any boards we have ever been on before.

I commented about another forum where there seems to be a lot of negativity, scolding (judgement) and all around crankiness. But it just does not happen here! Yay!

My thought is that JUDD is more satisfying than the long term WOE on some other sites. And, just maybe those people are grumpy because they are hungry and the mind body healing happens more on JUDD.

What do you think?

We also talked about our favorite places on Oahu. Seabreezes had read my post about going back to Chuck's and Duke's and the Hula grill. Come to find out she and her DH love Chuck's! Hopefully when DH and I are in Hawaii in September we can all get together for Mai Tai's and dinner at Chuck's on their balcony overlooking Waikiki at sunset. So gorgeous!

As you get to know her better you will know what I mean. And she looks amazing, too!

Sounds like my DH and her DH are very similar in temperament. Very outgoing and fun. Mr. & Mrs. Seabreezes have been married 44 years. Dh and I have been married close to 40.

Thanks Yam Yam. Yesterday was a delight. I'm just a normal person, but have been handed more challenges lately than I would like. I will get through them. Coming here and reading all of the positive things going on with everyone is a great help.
