JUDDD Induction Flu?

Hey There, I'm a newbie here...today is my second UD on JUDDD. I have been feeling a bit crummy the last few days. I've been doing Low Carb for about 5 months - with intermittent off plan days. I'm wondering if my crummy feeling is some sort of JUDDD flu, like atkins induction flu? Anyone experience this? Maybe I am just coming down with a cold....:(

There's not a JUDDD flu, exactly, but I can think of a couple of reasons you could be feeling poorly. I don't know if you have increased your carbs, but if you have, some people don't feel well doing so. Another thing is just simply the change in eating. Your body could be rebelling against the radical swing between UD and DD calories. Or you could actually have a cold or the flu.

Many find that within a week or so, DDs become easier, so that's something to look forward to if it's just your body rebelling. It does take longer for some, even up to several weeks. :dunno:

Thanks for the info Dawn. The DD aren't so bad. in fact, I find it hard to eat enough on my up days as my body gets in the groove of the dd.... maybe I'm not eating enough! HA

I was actually going to ask if you were eating enough on your UD. You may have low energy from not getting enough!

YAH, I was wondering that earlier today, so I went to mcdonald's for lunch!!

It's about 95 degrees here with 99% humidity and I still get the DD shivers. My co-workers think I'm nuts!!! I had some yucky DDs at the beginning in terms of feeling crumby, but that pasted and now I feel best on DDs!

Don't think I have heard of anyone complaining of a flu, since there isn't an induction. It does take a bit to adapt to intermittent fasting, but that shouldn't make you feel bad if you are getting the nutrients you need to maintain your body. If you get the down day freezing feeling that is super common for most people. Hopefully it is stimulating our brown fat cells to burn burn burn.
McDonalds would just about kill me off!
Make sure you eat enough on Up Days and try to focus on clean healthy foods. You will feel better. Tis the season for fresh organic produce by the bushel

I agree and I don't get the DD shivers any longer but I am almost to goal also.
It has taken a long time for me to start craving healthy veggies over junk but it is happening. Over 10 years on LC made me super deprived mentally so it has taken many months to work past that mindset.

BUT there were days both UD and DD that I felt like I did not have enough energy to drag through the day and that took awhile to go away. I upped my carbs in the form of oat groats for B and that helped.
