UD Thursday 8/9

I couldn't find a thread for today, so I started this one-- hope it's not a duplicate.

Having an emotional day, but sticking to the plan-- Vet just called and my 12yr old greyhound made it through her dental... no extractions! Resting comfortably, getting IV fluids.

Then, my somewhat estranged Aunt called-- my grandmother on that side, 92 I think, had fallen and broken her pelvis and shoulder (or broke the pelvis and fell, we'll never know).
She's in hospital.

so, that's my day SO FAR.... Oh, and I'm down another pound from my gain while I was traveling 3 in 3 days...

B: 2 eggs, fried in some butter, and 2c cereal with 1c almond milk

s: 1 wasa/ryvita type cracker, with 2 triangles of laughing cow onion
some salami

D: planned-- grilled marinated chicken thighs, and some sort of veggie.
maybe LC ice cream for dessert, not sure.

B - egg white muffin w/ butter, broccoli & cheese

L - chicken salad w/ siracha

D - bunless burger

S - starbucks coconut frap, and it's one of the paralegal's birthdays here, so I helped myself to a small piece of a goodie from Donna Bell's (it's the bakery that the girl on CSI owns)

Easy - too easy in fact!

I take 1/2 cup liquid egg whites, whatever filling (be it veggies or meat - only just enough to fill 1/2 way) and 1 oz cheese - pour all into 1 muffin tin (for single serving - mulitply it by 6 if you make a whole batch), bake for about 1/2 hr. Voila!

And i forget her name, but she plays Abby. And yes, her bakery is RIGHT DOWN STAIRS from my office.

Did I mention it's sandwiched between two starbucks as well?

Welcome to NYC!

Thanks Whit!
Not sure how up to date I'll be on that, but I"m just hoping she's not in pain. Honestly, my feeling is that this is the beginning of the end for her. She's had a hard life of late-- first my grand-dad died, geez, maybe 15yrs ago... but then, my dad died about 11yrs ago. He was her 1st (of 2) kids, and her favorite by far. Sun rose and shone on him.
Coincidentally, Aug 3 was his birthday-- so I'm not entirely surprised that this happened at this time of year.

Whoa, threadjacked myself...

I think I went over calories today by 200-300, but I feel I'm still getting in the swing of things. I'll have a good DD tomorrow-- have my favorite green tea chilling in the fridge (mango chili) and that will power me through.
got my HB eggs ready, and just need to figure out dinner and I'll be set.

Love the JB support!
