I decided to go old-school today so I am joining Sunshinegirl in a shake. Having an Atkins Day Break chocolate. I had to enter it into my online calorie counter myself since they evidently had 2 older shakes in their database only, which didn't have the same nutrition as this one - enough difference that it was going to bother me.

I won't have another today, though, because the sodium is 300 and that's way too much for just getting 140 calories out of a meal for me. But the fiber is so much better than most powdered whey mixes that I forgive it!

I'm thinking of taking adi's example and hard-boiling some eggs. Definitely a tossed salad in my future, so quartered eggs in it would be nice.

Whitlin',

I personally LOVE the packages of precooked, peeled, hard boiled eggs they sell in the grocery stores now! They really are a time saver, and pretty cheap!

genevieve, yep, that makes more sense to me now than it used to - I have chickens like adi, but have already shared with her that I am down to just a few now and in the hot summertime they are definitely not laying well. I noticed we're down to just 5 eggs in the fridge after I made egg salad today. So I must go give my hens a talking-to and explain I'll be at the grocery deli pretty soon if they don't cooperate.

Adding to my DD:

big tossed salad with about 3/4 egg's worth of egg salad, made with just mayo and mustard, tossed in well. 100 calories

Even if I do this again for supper, I could come in at 350 calories and 500 sodium.

I'm noticing that Molly and sunday made water recipes today, and also Rebecca made lemon water. I drank some of a water recipe today, too. Hmmm.... ... I'm thinking I may post a water thread.
