SIRT1 question

Hi kids. I've been doing JUDDD for a few weeks and have lost 8 pounds. I feel GREAT and DD are getting a little easier. I try to spend as much time as I can here as you are all so full of good info and support - but am limited due to my schedule. I have seen a few comments about the SIRT1 effect and have a couple of questions.

~When does this "normally" kick in? I know...we're not normal...and of course it will vary...but...any ideas?

~ What exactly happens that I will know when it kicks in?

I also just want to add that I am so impressed with how much you all encourage and support one another. That is awesome....like having your very own cheering section to help you to the finish line!!!

Aren't JUDDD BUDDDs fun to be around?

Dr J says it takes between 2 and 4 weeks for sirtuin enzymes to reach critical mass in most bodies. Sunday says the range is 2 to 8 weeks...and she has read research done after Dr J published.

How to tell when the JUDDD Magic happens?
Some people never notice. Some people realize DDs have gotten significantly easier. Some people 'feel' it. (If you LC, it feels like ketosis because it is.)

Happened to me on Wednesday of week four. DDs had not been bad, I had figured out what to eat and was losing a pound a week (which worked for me). On that Wednesday, I realized it was 2 PM and I was not hungry. I was happy and energetic. I felt really good. AND I jumped to an average of two pounds a week lost.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Quick question

so I had a couple days while volunteering, that there was no way to JUDDD. (well I was too irritated to try

I've been JUDDDing since 7/8 but I'm not sure if I notice any difference yet. DD's did seem to be easier. Do you think you have to start over from square one building the SIRT1 enzymes?

Just wondering what your experience have been with stop and start. I certainly don't plan on stopping/starting again. DD's after a couple of UD's are the worst~ Holly

Dr J speculates most bodies, which have reached the saturation level, take about two weeks to burn off all of the enzymes.

I ate at, or above, or waaaaay above maintenance levels for over two weeks while on vacation. I only gained three pounds and my first DD back was low cal and, frankly, a relief.

Holly, you have not been JUDDDing as long as I had been. But, based on what other BUDDDs have reported, you should be back on track in a couple of DDs. (Dang shame to miss DDs because of stress/irritation - vaycay is so much nicer!)

Stats: Weigh/Too/Much!
WOE: Atkins '72
Start Date: Oh, ya know..every morning!
Some signs I noticed for me:

* Down Days got easier.
* Down Days were welcomed.
* Woke up on an Up Day and forgot it was an UD!
* Appetite suppression.
* Difficulty eating all my calories on an UD.
* Would suddenly realize I needed to eat (UD) or hadn't eaten and didn't miss it (DD).
* Could have a conversation with food around and forgot there was food around!

Probably more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
