JUDDDers toning with Callanetics
Hey all. Post here with your latest exercise, questions, helpful tips and any other Callanetics chatter.
Just finished my 6th hour of Evolution. I can tell I'm getting stronger! Even though I had over a week off due to my trip to my mom's. I did a 20 min AM workout I found on youtube on Friday, but not counting it in my total since it was just 20 minutes. |

I did my second hour of 10/10 this morning. I am just learning my way around these exercises, hoping I am getting them right.

Thanks Tina! I also did my second hour of 10/10 last night and am already thinking, "Why did I ever stop doing this?" I swear my stomach looks flatter this morning.
How is Evolution? I must admit to loving the cheesiness of 10/10...reminds me of all those '80s videos (when exercise videos were new!). All I need now is a leotard-and-tights outfit.. |

Tomorrow morning for me, I am looking forward to it now. I am going to try to do this 3 times a week.
I love, love, love the stretching, it is so good for a woman of my age. I really enjoy the pulses on with my leg on the bar, well on my chest of drawers actually. |

Kissa, doesn't it feel sooooo good? I love the stretching near the end too - I never want to come out of it and get peeved when I hear her saying to switch sides!

Well i told my sister about this, and so we got on line to order it,, she has it ordered and we are waiting for that DVD to come so we can both do it,, i love the on line ones and i like how they make me feel while i am doing them~

I have the 10/10 and Evolution DVD .... once doing them, I almost immediately feel like crap afterwards... I was wondering if these exercises release toxins from your muscles which makes me feel like that?! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this OR maybe I'm just doing them wrong and causing my muscles to exhaust themselves or over stretch? OR maybe I'm just crazy?!? hahahah!

No, not nauseous.... just 'off'. This has only happened the 2 times I tried Call. Maybe I should try it again and see if it happens. Maybe there are 'other' things going on with me that I don't know about.

I am starting this up again now that I am in less pain. I did 10/10 a few years back and loved the results. But then I developed a flare up of arthritic pain that stopped me in my tracks. I feel like I can start slowly again. Am I hearing that many of you do this off youtube?

I did my 3rd hour of 10/10 this morning.
I know I am still learning and the standing pelvic thingy is awkward compared to doing it on the knees. But at present I couldn't kneel and do that. Although, strangely, my knee is almost pain free this past few days, unless I do something silly. I do wonder if I am doing the tummy ones correctly, I really try to avoid a 'sit up' and roll my ribs, but I sometimes have to support my head. Anyone else find that? Sorry it made you feel bad Amy. Had you eaten anything beforehand? I can't eat before exercise or a feel horrid.

I want in! I have 10/10. I did it a year ago and I saw results after my 2nd hour. Even hubby commented and said he should do it with me. LOL I am excited to get back to it. I think my DVD is scratched though so I might need to purchase another one. I'll find out tonight!

It is great to have a JUDDD group doing this, the thread in the Main Lobby is helpful but it does get looooong.

Good Lord no! I use any old bit of furniture, lol. I hang on the the basin in my bathroom to do the standing pelvic rotations.

It is all hard, hard, hard Beverley. I do love the stretches on the floor though. I long to be able to lean forward well on those. I used to be so supple when I was young. We will improve!

Great to see this thread getting lively
I try to do 10/10 just before I go to bed because I feel limp and jelly-like afterwards... and bitter experience has taught me that doing it in the morning just makes me want to lie down by afternoon. For the record, I loathe the underarms one but maybe doing a few extra pulses at work would be a good idea! Kissa, I also sometimes feel I need to support my head, but the more I curve in, the more natural it feels...some days are better than others though. |
