Usually weight spike after a DD has been related to TOM. Although, I have not lost any or barely on a DD many times. I have lost after a UD a few times as well.

Sadly not the case. Just kicked tom to the curb. Hope tomorrow is better. Still not hungry. That should count for not against me. I'm hoping it isn't a ptero reaction.

Should we start a supplement exchange? I could send someone my psb (if DH doesn't want to try it). I already gave away my resveratrol.
I quit taking the ptero a few days ago and did not notice any decrease in hunger, so I don't think the ptero was making me hungrier.

My weight remained pretty stable while taking it, then I had a nice big whoosh this morning after NOT taking it for a few days. I wonder if the mimetic function of the psb was leading to increased stress response in my body.

Dawn, I quit taking the ptero on UD, but will let all know what I find out when I stop taking it eod. So, I will stop for a week and see if I notice any difference in energy and AS.

I have been concerned that the headaches would appear with you, so this must be meant to be!

I am down almost two pounds of the weight spike, no headache yesterday or today, so I don't think it was the ptero, just the smoke in the air punching me in the sinuses.
DD today, so hoping for real loss!
I don't know that ptero would be a necessary addition for someone who has her sirtuin flowing and established, but from this perspective it really is helping me with getting it going again. And since I know what that feels like, with ease of fasting and all, I am really grateful to find it for a fresh startup with IF. I will probably take it for two to three weeks and then save it for pms help maybe. The experiments continue!

That would be interesting, wouldn't it?!
I mean, fasting is "supposed" to be good for us, but if we have other issues that make our bodies interpret it as stress, then will they interpret the psb as stress, too?!

I quit taking mine a few days ago, too.
They were definitely making me hungry if I took them during the day.
I started taking them at night to see if they would help my morning blood glucose, but I didn't really notice anything.
Now I'm taking a couple new things to help me sleep, so I'm leaving off the psb for now.

I can take one in the morning on DD and I am fine. IF I take another one later in the afternoon it seems to make me hungry. So I am only taking one in the mornings but I am taking them everyday now just to see.

I have always taken just 1 50mg ptero. It has consistantly boosted my energy. Today I'm tired, but I suspect this is TOM getting ready to rear it's ugly head! I was also up almost a pound after yesterday's DD, so yes, this must be TOM. Last month it came on the 19th, so it's overdue! I really like the ptero, but should skip it on UDs. I keep saying that, but need enery most on UDs.

it has been eight days, and I am down almost four pounds with taking the pterostilbene.
I didn't lose that much in a month when I started juddd.
Ptero for the win
keep it coming off!

I have decided that I need to take it everyday to get any results. Just every other day isn't working for me. Will give it a couple of weeks of everyday usage and see if I get any results.

I quit because Dawn said that she didn't notice any difference when she quit, so I thought I would give it a "no ptero" trial. Why take something you don't need or can see beneficial??? LOOKS like I NEED it!

I just ordered the Pteropure that has Resv combined. Will update all on how it makes me feel! Also, I noticed right away when I stopped, that I had a sore throat for the first time since being on the ptero/resv. It reminded me of my old allergy sore throat that I used to get every year at this time of year.

Makes me wonder if this supplement helps with allergies???

It appears my body doesn't handle supplements the same way others do, so don't EVER start or stop one just because I did. I quit taking it because I never noticed any benefit in the first place.

I have so far had failed experiments with:
(**These are just MY experiences, and I suspect there's some adrenal fatigue which causes my body to reverse or not use the supplements the way they are supposed to work.**)

EVCO (if I don't count it, I don't lose weight)
Resveratrol (headaches, though I did get reduction in appetite)
Pterostilbene (no benefits, and weight loss actually was slower WITH it than WITHOUT it)
Chlorphyll (No benefits noted)
Chia (No benefits noted--not worth the extra calories)

I think that may be all of them.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it wasn't because you were feeling porrly from it.This is one of the first supplements I really feel has been effective for me. The chlorophyll has too. But the ptero makes me feel better- very even. I don't feel blood sugar drops, and it really helps the horrid hungries I was getting. Is the Pteropure more expensive? I am happy with the Jarrow so far, so I am going to stick with that.

Dawn, since you are my JUDDD hero, I pay attention and attempt to emulate your results!

I am curious to what is going on with your addrenals? If you suffer with addrenal fatigue as Dr. Lam suggests, wouldn't you also have a tough time losing weight? He mentions that weight loss is next to impossible when our addrenals are out of whack or balance.

Bev~ I love Jarrow and in fact, I take mostly Jarrow, NOW, & Enzymatic Therapy supps.

I was curious to find the supp that combines Resveratrol with the Pteropure to see what the difference might be??? I may be sorry...
If so, I will remain true to Jarrow. If you google, pteropure and click on their website, then click on "products". It shows all of the supplements made by different companies that contain the true PteroPure which is in Jarrow. The company called, "Genceutic Naturals" has one such supp that is Pteroblue Pterostibene Plus Resveratrol which contains 250 mg of resveratrol, 50 mg of pterostilbene, and 50 mg of AuroraBlue which is wild Alaskan blueberries 10x strength. It cost $34.99 for 30, which is pricey! But if it makes me feel good EOD, then it is worth it!

I'm also undermedicated for hypothyroidism, and still losing. I'm not going to question it.

I took 2 today. One at 6am and the second at 1pm. Today I was very energized. I completed two residential applications and those things are long and tedious and complicated. I zapped through not one but two. I had allowed myself 4 dasy to complete them. Gee, wonder what I am going to do now?
Think maybe the residual effect is starting now that I am taking them everyday rather than every other day. I can deal with this sudden surge of energy on a DD along with good brain function.
might have to order another bottle. mine is starting to look rather low in quantity.

I have been meaning to ask, and keep forgetting, has anyone had better eyesight since taking this? I could swear that mine is getting better.

Adi, Do you notice any problems sleeping with 2 in one day? I like to sleep and especially on DD.

No changes noted with my eyes, but it does impact my sleep. I would sleep soundly until 7:00 and now I wake up at 5:00. Bummer!

After taking two capsules yesterday for a total of 100mg, I slept well as always. I drink a lot of water after I get home in the evening so I know I will get up several times a night for a bathroom break, but I went back to sleep easily each time. So it isn't bothering my sleep at all. YEA!!! And I jumped right up this morning when the alarm went off. I wasn't dragging and trying to get another 2 minutes of sleep in. I plan on taking it today also and it is an UD. Maybe it will keep my afternoon indulgences under control.
