Oh thank you for this info! When I first bought it, I was taking 1 per day and didn't notice any difference so I just forgot about it. Yesterday I took 2 (that means 100 as they are 50 each). I definitely noticed a difference.

I need to re-order soon. I think when I do, I'll order some D 3and K2. I've been taking D3 since I had a horrible allergic skin reaction a few years ago, and now Dr. Mercola has been touting K2 to work with the D3.

Just reporting. I took two this morning (100 mg total) and I'm not hungry yet at 2:45!! Yay! I'm going to save the other one and take it in an hour or so.

This is supposed to be an UD but I'm hoping to finish with a MD so I can change my rotations for Christmas Day and also a girlfriend's birthday dinner tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is a good plan!

update...

so I am super excited!!! I started last week and in addition to having 50 mg in the am I am fasting till 12pm on up days and fasting till 3pm on down days. on down days I have mostly dinner about 500 cals and up days about 2000 cals I really should have about 1800 per the calculator. The reason why I am over eating is mostly due to the holiday temptations because I am not hungry....

I have little hunger until around 3pm daily. no other side effects other then some possible insomnia but I am still ruling it out since there were other variables.

the other positive is the small bounces!!!! because its the holidays I have been indulging.... for example my dd I had about 500 cal, then yesterday was my up day and at 12pm, had 2 small pastrami sandwiches, some cookies, garlic bread, pot roast, a little pasta, large slice of marie callender banana cream pie.. about 2300... I was expecting at least 1.5 bounce..... only 0.5!!! what!!!!

I think someone previously wrote they had a small bounce after starting ptero....

so my theories for my small bounce are:

1. might be due to the fasting till 12pm

2. the pstero, maybe its working on my inflammatory areas?

3. maybe didn't eat as much salt that I think....

Also as someone else reported. I feel "normal". I am not as obsessed with food. so if it wasn't the holiday time I would be doing even better so the fact that I am doing so well even now is surprising. can't wait till the holidays are over to see how I do! Have not gained ANY wt since last week and it looks like I am trending down!!

have any of you noticed smaller bounces too?

I've been taking the pterostilbene for almost 18 months as well. I just wouldn't want to go without it at this point. I'm not sure that it minimizes my bounce, but it helps my energy level and my ability to focus so for me those are major benefits. I never had a big issue with appetite once the SIRTs had kicked in, but I think the pterostilbene helps when my SIRTs drop a bit like during the next 8-9 days where there may only be 1 or 2 DDs.

Dawn --that is so like me. I can never tell if anything I am taking is actually working. I hate that about me because I take a lot of supplements. I wish I knew so at least I can save money on what is actually working for me. Rather than hope and guessing that it does. I have enough ptero for a long while so I won't be going without for along while

I actually can tell that one is working! It helps me "go" and like it much better than Natural Calm. Now, other than making me "go" I have no idea what it is doing in my body just know that it is supposed to be so good for you

Don't know whether it's the pterostilbene or holiday uuads, but over the last week I've had my first ever no-food DDs. Two of them. Effortlessly. Crazy.
Now, if it is the pterostilbene, and if it starts helping me lower my UDs, I will take a trailer out into the desert and start manufacturing it myself.
Currently doing two in the am and one (sometimes) midday.

I think I posted early on about how much energy and focus it gave me a questioning if this stuff was legal

Might have to go find that post...

Really, really, really thinking of trying this again. I checked my bottle at home and it was 50 mg. May have to try the 150 mg and see what happens.

Putting the pterosmack to the test today.
Had a normal, aka low for me, UD yesterday, and am doing my regular low DD. I think this stuff kicked in after two weeks of regular use. I hardly recognized myself during yesterday's UD.
Have already been for a good, steep trail walk with the dog this morning and will do a 1-2 hour cross country snowshoe this afternoon.
Exercise has never helped weight loss for me (it makes me hungry and I often out-eat my expenditure before my hunger is gone) but I LOVE getting out there on skis or snowshoes in the winter and I want to see if the pterosmack affects me in any way. Will I fall over for lack of sustenance? Will my body access my plentiful fat reserves? Will I be as unusually un-ravenous after the exercise as I have been on my recent DDs with the pterosmack?
I will report back.
I should have read this thread fifteen pounds ago. This stuff is very interesting. And you guys are fantastic.

Dimethylresveratrol is what the bottle says. I just looked at it! Resveratrol is from grapes. I have been taking both! Dr. J is really BIG on Resveratrol
.....maybe that is why I have almost no interest in food these days??

Pterosmack! If I ask for that at the Vitamin Shoppe, do you think they'd steer me in the right direction? What if I tell them my friend, JoyJoy, makes it in a panel van in the Canadian woods??

If I learn to make here in the woods, I'll give you guys a 4 for 1 deal until you're hooked.
So. Post- snowshoeing I'm hungry but sort of unconcerned about my hunger. Incroyable, we say in this part of the country.
Another test will be tomorrow's UD, ie can I wait till afternoon to eat.
Crazy and wonderful.

has anyone taken 2 of the 150's in a day? Any problems?

I'm thinking of trying this for a week or so, since my 150 in the morning on an empty stomach isn't always curbing the hunger. For example, this morning I took it at 6:30am and now, at 9:30am I have the "growlies".

I've never taken a second 150mg. I take my 150mg at 5:30am and 3 or 4 times I have taken another 50mg around 1pm. Seemed to help. More for energy than growlies, but I felt a benefit from the extra 50mg.

I have never taken more that 150 myself.

The Growlies are usually fixed or me with a hot drink. And I always repeat the mantra, 'Hunger is not an emergency".

ok so here is my update: still taking 50mg daily. It helps curb my appetite. No side effects! Now due to christmas and ny eve I cooked up a storm of goodies!. I have not lost any wt but have not gained any either and thats with poor dd's and sometimes skipping them all together. my issue now is mental hunger vs real hunger. and eating because I see the food.

Today I am back on track. Had nothing all day and just had my dinner. I just have to now work on staying focus and stop making excuses of why I should eat. so I can't blame hunger any more! I alos do much better when I don't get triggers like my husband munching on something! I do much better when I am alone and dont have any temptations. "hunger is not an emergency"

I am also trying a new moto...

"Just because I can doesn't mean I should"..... in other words, just because I can eat, pig out, eat bad foods, doesn't mean I should! For the record, todays wt is 176. I hope I am in the high 160's by feb....
