How are the ptero takers doing? I missed my ptero yesterday, and not sure I took it the day before - old age you know. Yesterday was a very hungry DD. I couldn't stop thinking about food. My mind kept telling me to just eat and the heck with it. I put the brakes on but not till after extra calories. Not sure how many over my usual 350, but could have been 500?

I also recently began swigging "dirt" but it seemed to be stopping me up -rather than more normal bowels as others had mentioned. I have taken to keeping some of the diatamaceous earth "dirt" in the bottom of my water pitcher and drinking that way. I really thought the dirt gave me energy immediately, and didn't want to stop it. I also felt I was sleeping so soundly - and I'm a good sleeper anyway. I was taking the dirt before bedtime, and drinking an extra 12 oz of water with it - not good cause I was gettng up to pee 2x a night... and I never get up to pee. Didn't like that.

I really do feel like the ptero is giving my some additional appetite suppression. I'm hoping it's giving me some help on skin too, but can't really tell for sure on that yet. Although I do have a bit of loose skin on my upper arms, upper thighs, and lower abdomen, it's bouncing back pretty darn well considering how much I've lost.

Hey LCG apparently taking a gelatine supplement is good for skin, I have terrible issue from that and was considering a bodylift, but I have recently begun a gelatine/Silicon supplement and hoping for some improvement

Very interesting Emma. I used to take those for nail and hair strength (many many years ago). Let me know if you see any improvement with them.

Sorry you have been so tired Emma. Are you back in Cairo? If so please stay safe, such a nightmare going on there my heart breaks.

I hope the gelatine/silicon works, you and Carolhave had such amazing weight loss it will be great if your skin bounces back.

Goner, I don't know if it is the dirt or the ptero/resveratrol helping me, so I am continuing with both, lol.

That's great you got lots of ptero Kissa, I remember you had trouble getting it and cheap enough.

I continue my 150 mg ptero every day and also began swigging "dirt" for about 3 weeks now - I credit the ptero with appetite supression and the dirt with energy! I feel wonderful when I remember to take both first thing in the morning. I feel my face is looking "tighter" in a few places also - and as I continue with JUDDD my fat pockets have shifted in places, my face included. I know I look "younger" now! <smile>

Isn't it great Goner? I feel this way too. I can't convince my DH that I can be doing any good using these things, but he seems pleased enough with the results, lol.

Like nothing. It is really tasteless. I was scared too but pleasantly surprised. I use a slightly flavoured water, but that is the water I drink all the time. Go on, dare you.

I'll look through the DE thread and see what I can learn. I know the grade you buy is important, but that is the extent of my knowledge about "dirt".

I don't notice any taste either - just quickly drink it down - I don't notice excessive grit either. I have also taken to brush my teeth with it twice a week and am anxious to see if my dental cleaning on 9-13 is better... always tartar inside my front bottom teeth.

I have that same problem, Goner, and have noticed it more when I veer toward LC. My hygienist also agrees that folks doing LC have this problem. My last cleaning in July was fantastic, and I attribute it to brushing with DE once a week or so. She said my teeth were pristine and white!

I'm hoping for a good dental cleaning report also. My daughter noticed my teeth were whiter, and she rarely notices anything. The only thing different is cleaning with DIRT! LOL

Someone suggested that I take a look at this thread because I have hunger on my down days with JUDDD. This thread is so long, and I am wondering if any one here can give me a synopsis about what it is about, and how it is supposed to help with hunger.

I started to read the first part of the thread, and it seemed that it was saying that you should take it with food.

Thanks in advance!

I take 150mg upon waking on an empty stomach. I started with 50mg and stayed at that amount for a really long time. I use to take the Jarrow, but then got the really good deal at the doctors vitamin shop so I now have about a years supply of that. I feel the best benefits in terms of increased energy and better focus. I don't struggle with hunger, but I know most people find it helps appetite tremendously. HTH.

I also take the 150mg doctor vitamin shop, first thing in the morning, every day. I have found it to be invaluable in appetite suppression. I wasn't sure it was doing anything at first, but after taking it a week or two, I could really tell a difference.

Well, we're going to split the order 3 ways, mostly to try it out. But it did give me the incentive to get my own personal "mail box" stateside ... hehehe

I too got the Dr Vitamin 150 mg after only taking 50 mg Jarrow brand and not noticing much of anything till I upped to the 150 mg. I take it first thing in the morning with my diatomaceous earth "dirt". I thought it took a bit before it controled some hunger even with the 150 mg, but forgot to take it for about 3 days in a row just last month and REALLY noticed what it WAS doing for my hunger. Now I don't forget.

Also had my dental cleaning this past week and much less tartar on my teeth and a very quick cleaning overall with brushing with dirt once or twice a week!

I have only been on ptero for 5 days but I want to post how it's going so far.

I recently started having a hard time with DD's. More UD's than DD's, wanting to eat more at night on DD's even if not hungry (head hunger). So I started the ptero.

It's working wonderfully! I am back to the way my DD's used to be, less than 400 calories, and easy peasy. I guess it could be placebo effect, but I don't think so.

I take 150 mg in the morning. My first 2 DD's with it, I took one in the afternoon too (1-2pm) being alert to side effects as I read everyone's reviews on it... and I found that taking another one gave me a headache, and the second time I did it, it kept me up at night. So back to 1 per day, and I'm ok!

Gosh that has just reminded me I need to get on ptero. Thanks just started again today.I ran out and just got out of habit. I also couldn't find the brand I had before so I got a swanson brand instead and I 'm not sure how good they are but at least they aren't big horse tablets like my previous ones I almost choked on.

Kissa you look like Felicity Kendall in your photo!! I adore Felicity she's one of my favourites and she's always looked fantastic and trim. Which reminds me I must drag out my old Rosemary and Thyme DVDs and watch them again for the fifteenth time. I loved her in that role.
