That I can joyfully live with, it's having two of them in one month like I had in Jan. that was alarming to me. And the primary reason why I stopped doing 4:3, along with taking both Resveratrol & Ptero. This month, I'm two weeks over due. My six grand kids would sure be shocked if their Nana was pregnant with a new baby Uncle or Aunt.

So only time will tell if that old biddy of mine "Aunt Flow", ever decides to make another appearance in my life time or not. From here on out, It's beyond both my control and medical science...but only up to Mother Nature.
Nana, if your advanced I am super advanced! I thought I was done after last year, (I had 2 visits) but low and behold I have had another visit this year so you just never can tell! Have you noticed a difference in your skin? That is my biggest complaint. My skin has really lost it's elasticity. I've seen mature ladies with lovely skin. I'm hoping this is just a faze I am going through and my skin will look better soon.

Ann, I read this as "JUDDD, 4 point 3", as though it were a new update from Linux or something! Sounds so scientific.

"What is your way of eating?"

"Oh, I do JUDDD 4.3. Very cutting-edge, you know."

Hi to everyone. I'm still taking pteroblue once a day.

shepheka, I didn't even notice the spelling. Dr. Perricone says eat salmon for skin elasticity, or take fish oil.

Poor skin elasticity is nothing new with me. I've had it ever since being a teenager, from the first time I lost 30 lbs. and started yo-yo dieting.

I've recently started using coconut oil (ingesting it & applying topically), which seems to be helping the texture look and feel more supple.

Truthfully, I never did JUDDD ADF/EOD, because I had a MD on the weekends - 4:3 (fasting 3 days below 500 cals. & eating 3 days @ 1500 & 1 day @ 1000) for a couple of mos., before I switched to 5:2 (FastDiet) in Feb. I hope between now & the summer to be able to lose another 8 lbs. doing 5:2 & then do 6:1 for maintenance.

I'm just not sure there's any research yet showing that any other IF besides ADF, will have the
other possible health benefits long term or not. So that's why I thought it may be best if I tried the supplements.

Anyone else find the eResveratrol & PetroBlue giving them the munchies? So far each time I've tried it, I start getting intense cravings for carbs. Which is the complete opposite effect that I am
hoping for, since I thought they were suppose to be appetite suppressants.

Ann

What's up with me, but the cravings feel like the ones I usually get PMSing around TOM. I'm going to be coming up on 3 wks. late, so don't think it's that.

The couple of times that I've tried to take them was at 2:00 pm, so that I space them at least 6 hrs. away from when I take my synthroid first thing upon waking up in the morning. Also I figured that it leaves me at least 8 hrs. before I'm going to bed, just in case they cause any insomnia. Maybe I need at least a week in a row of taking the supplements on a daily basis to build up whatever is necessary in my system to receive the appetite suppressing benefit.

I'll try them again Mon. on my next fasting day, and give it at least a week of taking them daily, before I decide if they're going to work for me how I hoped, or not...one last time.

Ann

I'm taking 2 pteroblue, more or less in the morning, and if I'm seeing effects already, they are subtle. Less munchie on dds, some energy, but maybe it's mental. I'm taking on both UD and dd, will continue on for the whole bottle and decide if its helping.

Carly - I read your post about taking a ptero to get some energy. DD here and I took one this morning but I was DRAGGING. Not sure I could make it through chores. So I took another one and I have now finished feeding everything and I am down to milking which is the easy part. I DID get a good burst of energy. Yea!!!

I really did too. I took the pterostilbene and L-carnitine so don't know for sure which it was, but tend to think it was the pterostilbene. I was way too tired for it to be a placebo effect. I haven't been tired like that in months and it was not enjoyable

On my DD before last (lol to say that) I was waiting until 7 to have my evening meal and noticing I had hunger. This was about 5. I tried taking a second ptero and really do think it helped with the hunger until 7. I should mention it was a small meal, and I felt that same "I could eat" way again by 8 or 8:30, so I don't think ptero lasts for hours and hours, of course.

But that was a nice little boost through my DD, and I believe I could pinpoint the ptero as a positive change right at that time. So often, I'm not sure if it's the ptero or just a good day, so this was an affirmation.

Energy? Gee, I wish I could be sure of that. I'll need to try it sometime when I'm fading, lol. So happy for Adi and Carly - getting a lot done.

I decided to stop taking ptero last Saturday One of my knees (they had both been hurting before I started JUDDD--and stopped bothering me at all!) began to bother me again, and I had experienced increased inflammation when I had started a different supplement awhile back, so I decided to stop the ptero for a few days to see if that was it. It was BUT things react *totally* different sometimes in my body because of my Ataxia (SCA), so better to have tried it and found out that I can't take it, right? Onward, JUDDDing I go!

I'm not a supplement kinda girl, but I really like the pterostilbene. I also take the resveratrol, but don't know if I get much benefit from it. I don't even take a multivitamin, but would skip my pterostibene.

^^^ *wouldn't*

I'm ordering more of the pteroblue. I think Its helping, doesn't make me feel weird like the other antioxidants have.

I get a little lift, but not like caffeine (which is good, in my case ).

So I'll give it another 3 months and see.

I have discovered how to make ptero work for me. I take two 50 mg capsules in the am and my appetite is GONE. I was taking one in the am and one in the pm and my appetite was dulled but still there. I read where Cindy (Kissa) takes two in the am so I tried it. IT WORKS. For me anyway. So I decided to try two on an UD morning. My UD is a normal UD and not one of my infamous UUAD's. I am having a bowl of corn based spaghetti and tomato sauce. I had a normal lunch and did not eat the whole quart of Dannon yogurt like I tend to do. Sure glad my new supply of ptero is here and I can get myself under control since I was starting to creep up on calories a little too much.

OK JUDDDers, I got curious and invested some time in the Pterstilbene thread (actually read every post in the thread). My DD today took a nose dive around 2 PM and was feeling terribly hungry by 7 PM (with growling and cavernous, pit-of-stomach-churning-keep-your-hands-away-from-my-pie-hole-if-you-know-what's-good-for-you type hunger). So, I decided what the heck and ran out to the Vitamin Shoppe.

I bought the Jarrow 50mg and popped one before I left the parking lot. By the time I got home 10 minutes later, the hunger had subsided. Yes, I can tell that I am in fact still hungry, but it's like no big deal. Aaaahhhh, (deep sigh). I cannot explain what a relief this stuff is from an appetite suppression vantage point. When you throw in all the other wonderful health benefits, I can see myself taking this stuff for a long time to come!

So, in summary, thank you all for guinea pigging it for me! It's like it's my birthday ! Bless each and every one of you!

Imagine, an appetite depressant that isn't killing us? I am really glad I was able to help Adi.

I have asked my sister to bring me a load back from the States where she is visiting. I pay almost $40 for what can be bought over there on Netrition there for $16.

I'm so glad this is working for you guys! WTG Adi and DA!

I'm still taking the pteroblue-- it's ptero and reservatrol and blueberry antioxidants. 1 bottle has enough for 2 pills for 30 days, so I've ordered 3 more and will pick them up in CA when I'm there next week.

I hadn't thought about it, but now that you mention it, I think my DDs are a bit better than previously. The last couple, I've skipped my mid-afternoon snack (veggie soup, 37 cals) and save it all for dinner. Once I have dinner, I'm done.

So, I officially give this supplement a thumbs up
