The ptero has helped so much with being able to stop eating at night. Yesterday I stopped eating at 4:00 pm and wasn't hungry at all until this morning. |

Just ordered 4 boxes of 60 @50mg so plenty for me to try post my results. I thought it was a pretty good deal for $16US for 4 boxes although the shipping was a killer as I'm overseas. I don't think I can post the ebay supplier here but if you want to PM me I can provide details.

I take 300mg resveratrol and 50mg of pterostilbene each morning upon waking. When I run out of resveratrol I may stop it or drop down to 100mg. I'm still losing weight and I'm not trying. I'm not complaining yet, but if 5 more pounds slip off it might be more than enough.

For me the ptero seems to be most effective in controlling appetite when I take 2 50mg capsules in the morning - usually before any food. I try and remember both DD and UD but have not been completely consistent. I do feel it helps though.

The pteroblue says a serving is 2 capsules, and would have 250 of reservatrol, 50 of ptero and 50 of blueberry.
So just 1 has 125, 25 and 25. The instructions say take 1 or 2. ? S. |

I just checked my bottle of pteroblue. The front of the label shows 100 mg, but on the side it lists 50 mg pterostilbene and 50 mg of blueberry concentrate (whatever that means).
One capsule is usually enough, but I have taken a second one on days when I'm extra hungry. I did a fat fast earlier this week and a second dose definitely helped that day. |

I can't really tell if I get appetite suppression from it since I'm not a really hungry person most of the time, but I feel that it helps with energy and mental clarity. It could just be the juddd magic... but I'll keep taking it.

has anyone noted differences in sleeplessness between ptero and reservatrol? I stopped taking reservertrol after a couple of days of terrible sleep--too bad, because the recent research on res is so very positive--

My sleep is better than ever! I actually may sleep though the night once or even twice a week (from what I can tell), but minimal sleepwalk/eating and I wake up feeling rested. This is very new to me. I can't roll over in my sleep due to my fused spine so some mornings I wake up and the hip I slept on is killing me, but I don't mind, because it means I slept through the night and I feel like dancing despite the hip pain!

My sleep has actually improved since I started taking ptero, although that may be due to other changes I've made. Whatever the reason for improved sleep, taking ptero certainly has not hurt.

This is my fifth ptero day (no auto-correct to pterodactyl on this computer
) and I think --I'm still not totally sold on the idea till it happens a couple more times -- I didn't obsess about eating on my DD yesterday, like I have come to do more often these days since I reduced my calories according to my current weight. It was wonderful, looking back at yesterday! No problem not eating till evening! I wasn't hungry and the lack of the *growl* reminder was so refreshing! Very cool to realize that! |

I'm giving the pteroblue more time-- took it yesterday (2 caps) on the DD, and no huge difference for me. Taking it on both UD and DD, so it can build up in my system, as I believe you guys recommended.
re: sleeping. So far, I'm not noticing anything in either direction (more/better or less/worse). I do take a few mg of Melatonin each night, since I'm traveling to/from the west coast monthly, my sleep schedule is just so messed up anyway. With the melatonin, just 1.5 to 3mg, I get sleepy around midnight and sleep through night, a good 8hrs, with 1 interruption around 4-5am to pee but that's normal as of the past few years.will report back in a few days, maybe I'll be noticing something then S. |

I found a brand that is reveratrol plus+ it is 300 mg reveratrol and20 trans- Pterostilbene would you take 2 of these? They do help with hunger issues until about 5:00..then I want to eat. Maybe 1 in the a.m. and 1 at 2 or 3. I havent really noticed any sleep benifits..would be nice though

I *think* I may be feeling the effects today?
it's afternoon on my DD, and usually I'd have had a snack/lunch by now. I am drinking a lot of water, but even so, I usually still want some food. AND I did have a mug of black tea so that has some appetite suppression and we know it revs me up...still, I feel like attributing the feeling of well-being/not overly hungry/we-can-do-this to the pteroblue. ? I'm back to giving this a 2 month trial run again.I was waiting until my female hormonal issues were sorted out, but after seeing my Gyno again yesterday and being told that at my (advanced age for menopause) I shouldn't be the least bit surprised if I never have another TOM. That I can joyfully live with, it's having two of them in one month like I had in Jan. that was alarming to me. And the primary reason why I stopped doing 4:3, along with taking both Resveratrol & Ptero. This month, I'm two weeks over due. My six grand kids would sure be shocked if their Nana was pregnant with a new baby Uncle or Aunt. So only time will tell if that old biddy of mine "Aunt Flow", ever decides to make another appearance in my life time or not. From here on out, It's beyond both my control and medical science...but only up to Mother Nature. ![]()

Ann-- don't be surprised that if, as a result of weightloss (not sure how much more you have to go), you wind up releasing stored estrogen and that throws off your cycle.
I was having the opposite problem, and went to my Dr and had a little freak-out and she pointed out that since losing weight releases hormones (which I knew), getting fatter and fatter is what STORES them to a certain degree in the first place. I was like, sniff sniff, oh, that makes sense ![]() sigh... for a smartiepants, I can be very very dense. Anyway-- sounds like you're at peace with whatever nature has in store for you, but just wanted to share my Dr's wisdom, just in case you have some more weird occurrences. s. |

Soren, I think that's what may have happened in Jan. when I had two that month, after not having it at all for a couple months prior to that. I've lost 20 lbs. in the last yr. from my high of 165. The first 10 I lost on South Beach until I stalled for months, and the rest since discovering JUDDD/4:3 & now 5:2.
I'm also hypo-thyroid, so that leads me to tread lightly with experimenting too much and risking greater hormonal imbalance. ![]() Last edited by SlimNana; 03-21-2013 at 10:43 AM.. |
