I am having a day off all that energy so I can rest!
Seriously though I'm finding I'm jittery on this supplement. I forgot to take it early yesterday and noticed how much more relaxed I was. Popped a pill and I was speeding all through the evening. I seem to be very sensitive to it's effects and feel myself wanting a lower dose. I also found I was craving sugary foods. No idea what is going on. Google ptero and all you get is how wonderful it is. I can't believe I am the only one who feels so wired on it.

I forgot to take mine this morning, we have been travelling all day and it is too late now it almost 5pm here. I am doing okay, just had a cup of tea with a little cookie so far.
I haven't noticed any serious 'high' type energy Stargazer. How different we all are. |

I am totally aware of increased energy, but not in a bad, over-stimulated way. In a way that I can keep going and keep focused. I have pretty bad ADD, which I've struggled with my whole life. I feel that this gives me a bit of a concentration boost in addition to medication. I take the ADD meds 4x per day, but have found myself forgetting doses. Partially 'cause I have ADD and get side tracted, but also because I'm focusing fairly well and not struggling so it is not occuring to me to take it.

Isn't that the truth? We are all so different! I don't get any energy surge from mine at all, and it doesn't keep me from sleeping either. I feel the same (energy-wise) if I take it or don't take it.

Where can I find this possibly without having to order it online? I thought GNC carried it, but they said it was only online. Also, how the hell do you pronounce it?!

They have it online at GNC, so I assumed it would be in the store as well, but alas that was not the case. I haven't checked anywhere else yet. The guy at GNC said it must be something new. Is it, or is he clueless?
I will check the health food stores tomorrow. I need to be armed for Saturday, lol. |

Good news! It's available at Vitamin Shoppe. They have all kinds of it. Now to figure out which one is best.
Edit: duh, if I had even read the first page carefully I would have known that! So happy we have a Vitamin Shoppe! Now, I just wish it was on THIS side of town. Can't I ever be satisfied?Last edited by Librarygirl; 11-15-2012 at 03:57 PM.. |

I didn't get it yet. Seems like the people here are using the Jarrow brand. I will try and find that. The Vitamin Shoppe has all kinds of brands ranging from 11.99 to 67.99, depending on additives, mgs, etc. I think the folks here are using 50 mg to start. That's what I plan to purchase.
Edit: The silly salesperson said No, we don't have it just because he didn't recognize the name of it. I said, I've seen it on your website, so he checked and said yes, lots of it in the store. It's really frustrating to get people on the phone who are too lazy to even check on something, when if I had to drive there it would be over 12 miles out of my way. *Rant Over* ![]()

When my BG gets too low, it feels similar to too much caffeine (which also messes with my BG); I'm sort of energetic but not productive, because I can't think straight and my hands are shaking, so I'm dropping stuff and I can't get much done! I also sometimes suddenly crash into a horrific irritability. The hunger that I get will only be satisfied by half a wheelbarrow full of mashed potatoes or pasta, with a side of bread...these foods actually make me stop shaking...veggies & chicken just don't cut it... ![]() Jarrow is a brand commonly carried in most health food stores; if they don't have that particular product, you can ask them to special order it for you.

I guess we can get all the benefits the supplement gives you health wise by JUDDDing. I really don't know what to do about taking it again. Perhaps just on DDs like some of you? |

I was still consider diabetic when I started taking it. I had no ill-effects, so I think everyone responds differently. With the weighloss I no longer take medication for diabetes and my last A1C was under 6.5
It was over 8 before JUDDD and weightloss! |

didn't have the funds for it. Will have to keep my eye open though. I would like to try it, but hopefully I won't NEED it. Just sounds so promising and I am a sucker for supplements. I have a closet full I cannot possibly have all of before their expiration dates. Have to be a bit choosy from here on out. |

I haven't gotten mine yet either, Dawn. I ended up spending the entire weekend at home, cleaning.
I didn't really have the funds either...will wait till next payday. |

Monday was fine. Still had the energy but no jitters and I slept ok. Perhaps every other day is better for me.
I think as long as you don't do silly things to make your blood sugar levels plummet like going too long without any food at all and drinking a whole bottle of wine (oh the shame) you'll be fine. Apparently binge drinking makes you hypo. So far I'm booze free and feeling fine. So not only is the supplement working but my liver is happy and I save the calories. |

I am still taking the Pterostilbene and resveritol supplements. I still feel like they are helping me as I can usually tell when I have forgotten to take them as I will be higher in my calorie consumption earlier in the day. I have never gotten jitters from them but nothing affects me that way except maybe 2 large Starbucks coffees. I think my system tends to be a bit more sluggish energy wise without the ptero but I am not positive.
Has anyone tried taking the CLA with these supplements? I am thinking about trying it but wondering if all of them combined might be too much.

I picked some CLA up today also so will be starting them tomorrow if I remember to take them. I think Yam-Yam was saying that it does take some time to see results from it.

I started ptero today! Took one of the Jarrow 50mg this morning with coffee. First meal was at 3. I had light hunger earlier in the day but was quite hungry by then. I wound up having all my DD calories between 3 and 6, but now at 6:30 I'm feeling good ... satisfied, feel like I'll be fine for the rest of the night. Energy level seemed where it usually is on a DD. Hoping to notice an increase in energy.
