Gained this Week...doing something wrong?

I just completed my 5th week on JUDDD. Losses so far:

Week 1: -3.4
Week 2: -3
Week 3: -5
Week 4: -1.8
Week 5: +1.8

I have stayed within my DD and UD calories the entire week. On UDs, I usually fall between 200-300 calories short (my UD calories are 2600...hard to get all that in). However, this week was no different from all the others where I've lost. I do not really have TOM as I have a Mirena, so that shouldn't be a factor.

Do I need to change something or just stay the course? How vital is it that I hit that 2600 calorie mark every UD?

Thanks for all your advice.

Even though the calculator says 2600, that seems high to me. IMO I'd stay around the 2100-2200 mark unless you're very active. (Just IMO).
And you won't lose every day, or week. Shoot, you could weigh again tomorrow and that 1.8 be off plus more, it can vary a lot, especially in the summer with heat and water retention.

Even though you have a mirena that may not stop your body from knowing TOM. A lot of women report after menopause they still get all the symptoms so I would just for now chalk it up as an anomaly and keep on trucking. You are doing great so why change what is working. If it continues for another week or so, you could reassess then.

That would be me. I was stunned when I realized my hormones still wax and wane - even though I am years past menopause.

I agree with Elise, don't panic. Go through a few more rotations. Then, if things do not settle down, reduce UD cals a bit.

Oh, and if you suddenly have a starving DD - totally out of proportion with what you are used to, nod and say 'stealth hormones'.

Good advice here.

I have Mirena too (for another two days!), and don't lose every week. It doesn't seem to follow a normal monthly pattern for me, so I can't say "for sure" that it's hormones, but I've had a few weeks over the months where I gained, and I'm still down a whole lot, so it's really not something to worry over too much. As long as you're following your rotations, you should be golden.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

2600 IS high...but that's what the calculator gave me. It's very hard to get that many calories in without resorting to junk food (which I have done on occasion).

I will keep my DD at 500 and try getting 2200-2300 on UD. Usually that's all I manage to get in anyway.
