MSM

Hello!
I have read that MSM Powder mixed with water and spayed on the body after showering helps sagging skin after weight loss. Does anyone have any experience with this? And what brand of MSM would you recommend?
Thanks! Love all the support here!
Molly

I used to *ingest* MSM...I got Doctor's Best brand, loose powder...but it upset my stomach. I've never applied it to my skin.

I was taking it to improve insulin sensitivity, as it's supposed to make the cell membrane more permeable. If it affects cell structure, it might also help with skin tightening. Because it is a form of sulfur, it is supposed to be good for hair growth. What is good for hair growth is often good for skin health.

Vitamin C is supposed to be helpful for skin elasticity, too...increases collagen production. Dry-brushing is also often recommended.

Some find it bloats them and causes a bit of weight gain. I don't think anything helps with loose skin. Keep muscles toned and eat really well. That does as much as possible to help. Some think a diet of raw foods aids skin recovery.

I've skin brushed for years but I can't say I have an incredibly tight tummy. You can never tell how bad it would have looked without the brushing though. I suppose if we put all the stuff on our body that we do on our skin it would help but I'm not rich enough. Give it time. It might take years to get the skin to fit you.
