Hello all :)

Can someone explain this JUDDD? are you watching Carbs or calories? or maybe both? .. I am thinking ud is up days and dd is down days.. if thats right.. what is the J..lol..

Dr. J is Dr. Johnson who wrote the book, "The Alternate Day Diet" which is a good read.

If you do a Google search for Dr. Johnson's Up Day Down Day Diet you will find his website. Use the menus to find "how to do the diet" and you will find a calculator. Put your numbers in and use the pull down menus to choose what percentage you want to start at. Be sure and change the calculator to reflect pounds and inches because the default is set at kg/cm and that will give you the wrong numbers if you put in your weight and height in pounds and inches.

Eat the low number of calories on DD and higher or "normal" on UDs. You can eat whatever you want. Some do LC, some do Paleo, some go solely on calories and eat anything under the sun.
