You know I did a 3 day Vegas trip with all of my "Hcg protocol forum buds" back in 09 and it was a blast to meet all of the girls from the forum. The funny thing is, it was like we had known each other forever. Some of the girls still facebook me and it is fun to keep up with their lives.

DH and I will be there the last weekend of April next year (renewing our vows). Of course, I'm only a 45 minute flight (or 7 hour drive) away.

What are the side effects of Resveratrol? Have a lot of JUDDDers tried it? I'm curious and have considered ordering it from Dr. Johnson's site.

Or should I try this other stuff?

Buttah, Don't try the resv, order the cheaper pterostilbene! Does the same thing, no side effects. If you go to amazon and type in Jarrow you can find it for $17.

Also, Swanson Vitamins has one for $7 that is 50 mg. Just make sure you get the 50 mg.

Kimberly!!!

Budds --- how can we make a poll where we could see the results??? I am off to search one, so that we can mark out some dates. Now a cruise could possibly be as cheap as a Vegas trip, but I am for either. Or we could make it something like a cabin resort, whatever! We would have more fun on cruise, I do believe.

Thank you Dawn for suggesting this.

okay, my idea for a Mexican cruise didn't get any shout outs, but I am open for another type of cruise as well. I am less likely to do Las Vegas in the summer, but maybe! Wherever we can get that margarita and those tortilla chips!

After working like crazy to lose about 8 total pounds from February to (low cal/low-glycemic) May-ish (can't remember), then stalling completely from May-ish to July (while staying between 1000-1500 calories), I figured maybe changing methods would break the plateau, and it did. After about 2.5 weeks of the Dukan Diet, I FINALLY lost 6 more...

But realizing I just can't "live" on Dukan... And after another week of a very limited diet and a seemingly stuck-again scale...

I come to JUDDD.

So far I've had one UD (1700 calories) and yesterday was my first DD (under 500).

At the risk of TMI, my one biggest hope for the first UD was that the extra food and fiber would FINALLY get me to the, you know, bathroom. It didn't. (more on this later)

My only hope for yesterday's DD was that I'd wake up and see a lower number on the scale. After all, under 500 calories, the very first time, one would at least expect to see a bit of water weight loss. I didn't.

And worse, even though I felt fine DURING the DD, upon waking up, my head was pounding like crazy, and I honestly didn't feel good.

I just had a Jimmy Dean De-lite egg white sandwich (189 calories), some coffee, and I feel much better. BUT...

I'm really worried that my body is simply stuck again. And I'm scared to death of seeing post UD gains that, after working SO hard to lose so little all these months, will kill my spirit.

And now for the "other" issue. The Dukan high protein/low carbing constipated me like crazy. So I started taking psyllium husk capsules. After five days of no result, I resorted to a couple of Senokot last night (which I've taken at least once or twice a week since Feb, and I'm worried about abusing) and finally had some relief. Does anyone else take psyllium? Does it usually take this long to work?

Will I wake up with headaches after every DD?

Has my body just gotten to the point where it functions on hardly any calories?

Will the scale, and my intestines, ever move regularly again?

Would you characterize JUDDD loss as average, rapid or slow, compared to other WOE's?

I've read a lot of threads, and you guys are awesome. You also seem, on average, the happiest of all the WOE's!
WOW!!! This thread sounds like me!!!

The same amount of weight to lose and all!

I have had constipation problems for the longest time too

Then I read about my problem on the main board, this is what I found and now it is what I do :

In the morning put 2 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar, one packet of splenda in a large glass, fill with plain old water and drink! I have been doing this now for over 2 weeks and it works for me I have taken this before breakfast and after breakfast, both work! It works, it works! After drinking this I do brush my teeth as I understand there is some concern about the vinegar and the enamel on the teeth. I have had this problem for years it seems and I tried everything mentioned in all these posts, but no results

I use Braggs vinegar, with the mother in it.

All the best to you and please let me know if you use this and if it hleps you too!

Leona

Leona,

Are you saying that ACV works for constipation? I am thrilled for you!

I drink it every day a couple of times per day. I mix juice from a lemon with mine as well.

I drink my ACV cocktail through a straw because I worry about the acid as well.

Mexican cruise would be great! I guess I'd better apply for my passport which I've been saying I was going to do for the last 10 years!

Yes, yes it works for me! But it must be organic with "the mother" in it! Using a straw is such a great idea, thanks for sharing that bit of info.

Leona

ps - how much AVC are you using and is it organic?

Thanks, Leona. I will keep that in mind. Although the 2 or 3x a day Metamucil or psyllium powder seems to be doing the trick now.

I have reflux from a hiatal hernia, and do fear the acid in ACV might make that worse. I've heard it's good for you, though.

BTW, I have more to lose than you do. My "8 lbs" comment was about how long it took me just to lose that amount!

I drink 1 tbsp with 1/2 lemon in a full glass of water. I began this for detox and just liked the way I felt, so I kept doing it. I am not sure if it is supposed to be taken in this amount, but it does help me ensure that I drink plenty water each day.
