That Old "JUDD" magic...

Seriously, I was going to try not to talk about this. But I can't help it.

After spending a long weekend out of town with DS and his darling family where there was food, food and more food, the scale was up 5 pounds on Monday morning. That's the part I did not want to own up to.

Monday was an awesome DD and 3 of the 5 was gone on Tues. morning. Yay!

Tuesday was a pretty good UD except for the fact that I bought a huge bag of Lay's potato chips and by the end of the day had managed to polish off half the bag with sour cream dip to boot. I went over my calories and salt makes me retain water. I know this and I did it anyway.

Wednesday morning the scale was up again by almost 3 pounds. Shoot! Why do I shoot myself in the foot!? but, I knew it was water weight. (But still had doubts I could get rid of it)

Wednesday was the best and most pleasant DD ever.

This morning I stepped on the scale and it was 4.6 DOWN!!! I started humming.....

"That Old JUDD magic that I know so well
That Old Judd magic has me in it's spell....

And, down and down I go, round and round I go...

Lovin' the Spin I'm in...

That old judd magic I love...."

That old black magic has me in its spell, that old black magic that you weave so well.
Those icy fingers up and down my spine
That same old witchcraft when your eyes meet mine.
The same old tingle that I feel inside, and then that elevator starts its ride
And down and down I go, round and round I go, like a leaf that's caught in the tide.
I should stay away, but what can I do?
I hear your name and I'm aflame
Aflame with such a burning desire that only your kiss can put out the fire.
For you're the lover I have waited for, the mate that fate had me created for.
And every time your lips meet mine, darling, down and down I go, round and round I go
In a spin, loving the spin I'm in, under that old black magic called love."

.......JUDD's the lover I've been waiting for! LOL!

Seriously, is there any diet in the world that would forgive me the way this WOE does? Seriously? It's magic....

OH, Ella and Dean all at once - enjoyed that!

Yam Yam, what good news - happy for you.

Interesting that part of the words of that fun song you chose say we were created for this mate (of JUDDD, lol), and in a way I think that it is so! We weren't meant to have the daily pattern of constant calories settling, but have fluctuating calories, more naturally. This is the diet (w.o.e.) "mate" we were created for.

Congratulations!!! I know. It's "stress-be-gone" eating! I've said this before, but when I was doing LC if I would have had a restriction free, enjoy my food weekend like I did and gained 5 pounds (probly would've been more) There is no way, no way, no way, 3 pounds would come off in one day. Then another in between carb fest and the next dd whoosh! the rest is gone. No way would that happen on LC. No suffering w/ JUDD. No guilt w/ JUDD. Quick recovery from mess-ups with JUDD. Truly magic.

Look at you!!! You are under your goal weight! It is I envious of YOU! I'll get there eventually. I'm just not in a rush. Obviously or I would never eat chips. Evil chips.

It's a DD and now I want chips with sour cream dip! You are an evil woman! And you can bet your behind, I will NOT be taking out my trash nekkid (there's an apartment complex across the street from me)!

2 DDs seems to be the magic number for many of us. That's what it took for my indulgences of a couple of weeks ago to leave.

(I'm hoping to see some of that JUDDD magic day after tomorrow given how today's menu pretty much redefined UUAAD. Oops )

Actually, my weight is a little above what I had posted...128.5...I corrected it to 132.5. I'm still very happy with my present weight and determined to get under goal again!

When I write down victories like this I find it encouraging to myself. I wouldn't say I'm obsessive about the scale every single day. However, today I keep stepping on the scale every now and then. It's actually lower right now than it was this morning, and now I'm clothed. I know it's an UD (there have been UDs when I have forgotten it was an UD which is kind of nutty) --- but I have not had any calories yet except for 2 tsp of half and half in my coffee this morning and 15 calories from the TBS chlorophyll I added to my water. It's past noon and I'm not hungry yet! No tummy growls. No cravings. Nada. I keep looking in the fridge for something that will "float my boat" but have not seen anything yet. So, I'll wait a while and maybe make a smoothie or eat some leftover steak with a salad and steamed veggies. This is part of the magic. A DD yesterday. A drop on the scale. An absence of hunger. An abundance of happiness and well-being. Kinda weird in a magical sort of way.

Which is pretty darn cool! I remember back to the beginning. My first days on JUDD were so iffy. Never thought I would get UDs under control. Ever. Who wouldn't love this??

I haven't posted much but sure do enjoy all the encouragement I get from everyone on here!

I just returned from vacation and ate like a fool (well, maybe not a fool) but I sure wasn't counting calories OR alternating UD's & DD's....for almost a whole week. I have been averaging about a pound + loss per week (after the scale does the bouncy thing) and last Thursday, I weighed in @ 212 which is the lowest I have been in years. I knew I couldn't be good during vacation so I was expecting to gain back several pounds while I was gone. Well, I returned to work yesterday where I use the same scale to weigh on and to my utter shock, I was only up by 1 1/2 pounds! After a good DD yesterday, I was down to 211 1/2 this morning!

I just eating like this....it's so freeing to know that there is nothing forbidden or off limits. I feel like I can live this way for the rest of my life, even after I lose all of my needed weight!

Luv: That is so awesome!!!! Thanks for popping in and sharing. You enjoyed a whole week of normal, enjoyable living and eating. And there was no "punishment" or price to be paid. Just get back on rotation and life is good. I have become a total, sold out believer in the science and research behind the SIR genes. Silent Information Regulators. The genes I love! With no hoopla, they silently signal our hormones and brain that all is well and they regulate everything for the best.
