UD and no real plan yet.

B: Probably Panera on the way to visit friends in the hospital. I usually get a breakfast power sandwich with egg whites for 300 calories and coffee for 5 calories. I have a free bagel too, so if Keira doesn't want a bagel, that may be my breakfast. With cream cheese, looking at around 500 calories.

L: Will still be out of town visiting. Probably a turkey burger in the car on the way home (500-ish calories)

D: No idea yet. DH will decide.

My second DD!

B-Fought through the nausea I usually wake up with and made it until 1pm with just coffee & a little SF syrup. 10 cal

L-Southwestern Eggbeaters, 1/2 tsp of onion/chive cream cheese, 1 slice 35 calorie bread. 105 cal

S-1/2 Wasa cracker, 1/2 cup chicken noodle soup (mostly broth) 80 cal

D-Not sure yet. Will probably have some lettuce with tomato & cucumber, I bought some spray dressing to give it a little flavor. Maybe some tuna for some protein.

Decafe or some broth before bed.

A very nerve-wracking up day for me today b/c it's my first in which I haven't been able to actually count the calories. I had a luncheon at a friend's house and the best I can do is estimate on my calorie counter, but since it's an up day I hope it won't matter as much!

B: 1 Sci Fit Beef Stix
L: Beef Carpaccio, seafood salad, crostini, and fruit
D: At the Cheesecake factory--at least I can look up the nutritional info

LindaD 07-14-2012 03:37 PM

UD for me

B- 2 eggs, sm. sausage, unbuttered toast (450)
L- seafood salad on crackers (couldn't eat it all) (400)
D- maybe a taco??? 40 cal fudgesicle (400)
Think I will make devilled eggs...so maybe one of those
Still have 400c. to fool around with.

This was an interesting exercise. A test of JUDDD if you will.

I put in my best estimates of lunch into my calorie tracker and tried to err on the side of caution. Then I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner with friends and it looks as if I intuitively ate right up to my UD limit but not over.

I've never naturally eaten to anything before. :P

Excellent!

Before I did JUDDD, I was logging my food without putting a limit on calories; I was more interesting in tracking grams of protein & carbs. Then, when I calculated my UD cals, it turns out I had been eating them almost exactly...every day, though!

That's so interesting, Jenny. Our bodies might be smarter than we think they are.

I need to own up to my day yesterday.

B 2 slices of toast one with Marmite, one with an egg on top. 1 cappuccino
Tea time 2 glasses of champagne and a slice of chocolate birthday cake. A dear friend's 84th.
D 2 slices of Buschetta with tomatoes and onion
Penne Arrabiata
2 scoops of ice cream
1/2 a bottle of red wine.

Very nice it all was too. :)

 Great job, Steph! One great thing about JUDDD that I experienced myself and have seen from others time and again is how it teaches you so much about your body. Maybe it's all the counting and charting and weighing, but I think it's a little more than that too - we start paying attention to the different types of hunger, and learning what foods we do best with, and the signals our body gives out - where before perhaps it was so easy to ignore or misunderstand...

For so long, I think I even denied that my body knew what it was doing - After so long of reading this and that food was good or bad, I didn't trust it with the ups and downs of water weight, the hormonal issues, or that on JUDDD it could somehow process potato chips, pizza, or ice cream along with the veggies and meats and fats. :) Sometimes I was too impatient and hard on it when all it had to work with was what I was giving it. I needed to be nicer to myself, to my very own "machine" I reside in that lets me interact with this world. :) I will be forever grateful that JUDDD let me learn these things and really get more familiar with my body's language. I saw "familiar" because sometimes I still have some things to figure out, but there's much more trust than there ever was before.

Anyway, just wanted to say WTG and KUTGW, my bud! :hugs:
