ditto! :)

Here's my DD:

B: typhoid vaccine :p
iced tea (this one is sort of a red zinger, but with black and green tea in it... not bad. Still like my mango chili better, so I'm having that next).

L: maybe a hb egg

D: leftover chicken thighs, lettuce (which I'm deciding not to count today :)), some of my 55cal iced almond milk

S: maybe a piece of laughing cow cheese if needed.

should be around 500 cal
2g net carb (again, not counting the lettuce :) )

Tashi 07-12-2012 09:11 AM

DD for me and I'll be having what is becoming my dd staple tonight at 10pm...3 scrambled eggs w/one slice of toast very lightly buttered. This seems to be working the best for me. Through out the day I drink a lot of black coffee, water and club soda.

Thanks! :) Your menu sounds great too! The shrimp salad sounds great - could I make that with chicken or tuna? Allergies prevent shrimp eating...

Me too. Plus, I notice that with JUDDD, I try to get as much "awesomeness" in on my UDs as possible, so if I'm craving pizza, then pizza for breakfast it is! :):p

ditto on that too-- I had pizza for breakfast earlier this week, and still dropped weight!

for LC reasons, I tend to just eat the toppings, but now with JUDDD, I sometimes have a slice WITH the bread part  crazy ;), but true!

Totally. I like to mix it up- my basic recipe is good greens, whatever protein is available (chicken, steak, tuna, salmon, etc), and then sprinkling of chopped fresh onion, a fruit, some nuts, and some type of cheese. I try to go really easy on those because they are cal heavy, but the combo of flavors is super yummy. Sweet, spicy, salty, crunchy and a little sour with the vinegar.

JHoberer 07-12-2012 01:23 PM

I use the peanut butter cookie recipe from the Specific Carbohydrate Diet book (i successfully used SCD to get rid of my ulcerative colitis when it flared up again after a 16 year remission)

1/2 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1 cup ground almonds
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pre-heat oven to 325F/160C

Cream butter until soft, add peanut butter and mix thoroughly, Add remaining ingredients, drop heaped tablespoonfuls onto baking parchment and put in the oven for around 12 minutes (they burn easily!).

Makes about 24 cookies. They are not particularly crunchy - more cake-like but i crumble them up into the yoghurt and it's lovely.

I didn't think until after that i should have replaced the honey with Splenda - i'll try this with the next batch and see how it works out.

Using that recipe i estimate that each cookie is about 150 cals, 7g carbs, 11g fat. Replacing the honey with Splenda should bring down the cals and the carbs quite a bit.

Enjoy!
