So bye bye loads of donuts, hello veggies, hummus, protein, fruit, and all the other yumminess of life.

It has also taught me not to vilify food. Fruit is not evil, it will not stab you in your sleep (well, maybe the bananas ) Grains can be had sparingly with attention to quality and they will not give you an instant pot belly. I am moving towards a healthier place in my life. Deep down I was always concerned that atkins wasn't as healthy as it could be and now I know that I can lose weight and eat everything fairly low carb and in moderation and its the most wonderful feeling in the world
Love that!

Well let me tell you something my lad(y)! When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after YOU with a bunch of loganberries, don't come cryin' to me!

Huge Monty Python Fan, especially the original show, which is much forgotten in the litany of their more popular successes.

Let's see......

Everything everyone said.

I love knowing I am personally responsible for myself. To the best of my memory, no on has ever held me down and forced food into my mouth (we will ignore the 'brother with a handful of dirt' childhood experience). I know how many calories I should eat on any given day. And if something comes up and I go over my caloric allotment, that was my conscious decision.

I love knowing if I make that decision, I have decided to slow down, nothing stopped.

I love the variety of foods! I never had the nerve to make beef bone broth before. Now it is a daily staple. I love experimenting with foods and eating times to figure out what works best for me.

Like Sheridan, I have never once thought fondly about how much I miss arthritis pain.

I love being able to recognize true my-body-needs-food hunger...and knowing what to do about it.

I love that last Summer's clothes are all gone: donated or trashed. I loved buying a new warm weather wardrobe. I am going to love buying new Fall and Winter clothing.

I love this forum and everyone on it!

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I am glad I've found JUDDD. This morning while taking a walk, I thought about having leftovers from my UD yesterday..........well, I don't think so.......I had to remember, this was a DD. The decision what to eat was not taken from me, but knowing that eating within the calories on DD was not unbearable. I will be back on my UD tomorrow and the leftovers will still be in refrig waiting. I must say, I thought about all my budds on this webpage and new it would be okay. Thank you to all!

I'm one of those crazy coupon people and I love that I can actually eat some of the sweets I bring into the house without guilt. I don't have to binge on anything because I know I can have more another day and I don't have to shove everything in my mouth before I restart my diet on Monday. Ugh.

I love that I can eat a good amount of carbs and still have a flat..ish stomach. I used to puff up and look pregnant just looking at bread. Even my hubs is shocked at this one. He usually knows right away when I've been eating starchy food. Lol

It's only been a week for me but this WOE is definitely something I will continue to do in some form forever.

What an incredible, joyous thread. I feel grateful just for having read it, and I agree with everything that's been said. For me, JUDDD is a wonderful gift of freedom, forgiveness and love. Every day I'm amazed at the positive changes in myself because of this way of eating, including having all of you in my life

I got back from a week long cruise last Sunday. My clothes were still fitting the same as when I left, but I was afraid to weigh myself. I finally got up the nerve to weigh myself on Wednesday, and I hadn't gained anything !!!! While I was on the cruise, I ate pretty much whatever I wanted every day - even a few rum punches and pain killers. I did go to the gym 5 times, though, to try to counterract the weight gain. I love JUDDD !!!

This is so good to read. Proof again that this is not simply a calorie cycling diet. It is Magic!

Yes...it IS like magic. It's so good to know you can enjoy a vacation and not lose any ground. I had been stalled for so very long before JUDDD. I just can't believe that just one month on JUDDD was enough to activate that gene and keep the fat burning while I pigged out on a cruise. I'm 51 yr old and postmenopausal. This stuff just doesn't happen in the "normal" world of eating.

Join the happy gang.

As one of the more 'mature' JUDDD BUDDDs I notice how successful this is for us. On so many diets it seems the once the menopause hits we just stop losing. Not here.

Kel, Oh, that menopausal thing is a biggie for me, too. I was just starting to wonder whether looking like Mr. Potato Head was inevitable. So happy to have found JUDDD.
