WTG Sorenkkg!

Adi, good job with the supplements. We have a whole kitchen cupboard of medicines and supplements. I so need to organize it.

PJ--watch out now! Kitty's going to enjoy playing trampoline on your sleeping head!

Congratulations, soren! That's great news!

I boldly stepped on the scale this morning. I felt thinner although the sauerkraut did not help...221.5!!!

Today is UD, so I need to add in more vegetables, as was suggested last night!

Have a great day!

Hi Buddds! I'm back at work today after my surgery and decided it's the day to get back to my Juddd'ing. I had attempted it last weekend, but with being out of my routine, it just wasn't working. I'm starting with an UD and although my weight has held steady, it's up a bit today due to lots of carbs yesterday.

to those with pet issues and to you losers!

Oh, and another funny thing I wanted to share--

I was at my neighbor's yesterday for a 4th of July BBQ,
when we got dangerously close to running out of BEER!!!
I offered to go to the liquor store, and her 20 year-old-son asked if I was old enough!!!
(21 here in the US)

I JUST TURNED 40!!!

I am absolutely sure he was not teasing or flattering me, because he is deaf and his back was turned to me when he signed the question to his mom,
and he didn't ask her to interpret...she just told me later because she knew I'd love it.

It had to have been a massive brain fart on his part, because I have known the family for 10 years! That didn't stop it from making my day, though!

Hi guys! First post here though I'm by no means a low carb newbie. In 2008 I got up to the 280s (for the 2nd time...) and the weight loss determination stuck. I got down to 225 with Atkins (25 carbs per day, a pregnancy was in that time too) and then stalled for an entire year. August 2011 I started the HCG diet. I saw 189 for 2 days. SO CLOSE to my 170 goal! I was 196 literally a week ago. I took a day off and the next morning was 203!! Yet again I am over 200. I have been up and down the same 15ish pounds since October. Sigh. So... I had a nice carb-fest over 4th of July and I now weigh 205.0.

I've been considering the JUDDD diet for about a month now. I am ready for a change and I think I could follow this plan long term. I am rather anxious to see if I can actually eat the 50 carbs on an UD that I am planning to start with and still lose weight. Here I go!

Thanks Hope and Everyone!!! It's nice to be able to share with people who understand; both the ups and the downs, on the scale and emotionally.

And I agree Hope, JUDDD is really about learning a lifestyle, and making it work in your world.

The kitty learning about gravity is My dogs do really silly stuff sometimes-- not sure if it's ok to post a link to a video of my pup Aleeya being really clueless? It's literally the funniest thing I've seen all year.

Let me know and I'll link ya'll to my youtube

Thanks for the welcomes! It's my first DD and it's right before supper. I'm hungry but really for the 1st time today.

So who here did the nutrition drinks for the first 2 weeks like the book recommends? I kinda liked my coffee-caramel Atkins shake this morning! I definitely liked having something to sip on over a period of time.

Dawn- we have had similar journeys! Isn't being "just overweight" grand?!

NoWeigh- It does me good to see you lost eating all types of foods. What about sugar... do you eat anything with sugar?

Way to go Soren and Hope!!!

Actually I do eat sugar sometimes, and without problem. I eat anything and everything with one exception: NO diet soda -- I used to drink a LOT of it. When I quit drinking it I didn't expect this to happen however within a few days my cravings for sugar and chocolate were just gone. It's been over six months without those cravings, so I'm pretty certain there was a connection.

I do still enjoy foods which contain sugar, I just don't NEED/HAVE to have them anymore. Since I started JUDDD I've had probably anything you can imagine however I do add the counts to my calories, and remain within my numbers most always. So, I do eat sugar and I am not paranoid about it. It feels pretty darned easy to take it or leave it -- a choice I couldn't seem to make before.

I am beginning to believe that, for me other than diet pop, it's not about eliminating a specific food, but rather to ensure that in addition to any treats that I might have, that I ALSO feed my body foods which are nutritious. So, it's a balancing act.

Welcome to the newbies and thanks for the hugs, NoWeigh!

I'm up again today because of yesterday being an UD, my first back-on-JUDDD-after-surgery. But, I must say, after being on JUDDD since around mid-March, I seem to constantly hover around the same weight. I'd finally begun to see a move downward, then came the surgery. But DANG ... almost 4 months and (as of today) only a 4 lb. loss???

At the doctors office the other day, I did have a new low on their scale even with clothes on, which was fabulous!! Ugh. I had better luck a few years ago when I did this. At the 3 month mark, I'd lost 14 lbs. then. Of course, if I'd not fell off the wagon after vacation, I might be much further along. But, that's a moot point.

Why is weight so freaking fast to come on and so blasted slow to go away????

I did induction with just shakes. I liked it because I did not have to think about anything. I just sipped my shake all morning and sipped another all afternoon, then if I was hungry sipped one in the evening. You can really stretch them out sipping as opposed to drinking them at one time.

Well, I managed my first DD. I knew I could do it since I come from HCG. I went from 205.0 to 201.6! I was really, really bloated up with water retention though. My hands feel a lot less like sausage now! I expect (hope) to get down through the 190s pretty quickly since I've been up and down them since October. Recently lost and gained weight tends to come off quicker (and is gained back quicker! lol).

I had intended to eat 2 Atkins shakes, a cucumber, a few strawberries and a cheese stick yesterday. Well I forgot to get cucumbers so I had a shake and some fresh cut up summer squash and cherry tomatoes that I microwaved and sprinkled with a spice mixture called Citrus Grill. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did because I didn't use any butter- but I'll eat that again!!! By the time supper rolled around there was no way a drink was going to cut it so I had a turkey pastrami sandwich on 45 calorie bread (bread? BREAD?:!! ) with mustard and tomato and 3 strawberries, later.

I did it!

And I'm only slightly more hungry that usual this morning. Wheee!

Just wanted to say hello. I had recently revived an interest in doing JUDDD to shift some regain weight and had been on LCF for awhile but not active so I looked at this section and love how active and informative it is. I have the book, not sure how I will implement this as I am not thinking of going super low or super high and I need a flexible schedule, not alternating. Lol, guess that is technically not JUDDD, but anyway, we'll see.
