I Kinda Like Not Eating. Weird?
I'm liking seeing how long I can go before I break my fast. On my first DD, I had a shake about an hour into waking up, then went like 6hrs before another. It was interesting. I had a few DDs, then let it go for a week while my BF was in town, and am now back in the swing. Today is a DD, and I didn't have anything but tea for 14hrs. That includes 6hrs of sleep. I felt kind of like I did when I knew I was in ketosis. Maybe that's the gene kicking in, lol.

Love your avatar.
![]() No, I don't think you're weird. I usually am pushing myself to wait until 3 pm on DDs to eat my first food--not counting coffee, which I don't. |

It's so much easier to me than UD.

I actually do fast my entire DD at least twice a week, then I don't eat on UD until noon. It would be easier to jsut keep fasting but I know that is not the answer. I have to face those UD's. DD's are so much esaier. Just don't eat. Although I do drink a cup of coffee with HWC for B.

I've been researching intermittent fasting, which is how I discovered JUDDD. I've been experimenting with the "many small meals" all day thing for a year-ish, and all it did for me was keep me obsessed with food.
I agree with the supposition that we aren't supposed to be eating so damn often. I'm not a hummingbird. I do like the DDs, though. So far, when I average out my calorie intake, I'm in the 1400s, which is pretty low. I'll keep it there for like a month and see if it isn't too low. Gotta love the experiment! |

I haven't been able to do it the last couple weeks (got off-plan after car accident), but I love that feeling, too.
It makes me feel strong and tough and bad-you-know-what. ![]() Especially because for many years I have been the kind of person who gets shaky and confused when hungry, and could never wait to eat--sometimes all I needed was a couple bites, and I know now it was because I had undiagnosed diabetes, but it still made me self-conscious that people might think I was greedy and impatient and disgusting. ![]() Last edited by piratejenny; 06-21-2012 at 10:40 PM.. |

I enjoy the less hassle of a DD, but I can't say I would enjoy fasting all day long. I still get irritable and shakey if I wait too long to eat but I love the not needing to plan food AND my grocery bill is much less now too!
