should I JUDDD or should I MUDDD ...

Bonsoir !

I have a pretty social week coming up and I don't know what to do. I have diners scheduled on tuesday, thursday, friday AND saturday !! (plus sunday @ an amusement parc right outside paris)

So I'm wondering...

Either I keep my rotation (and fast untill diner on tuesday, thursday and saturday, hoping I can keep diner under 700cal)
Either I give MUDDD a try starting right now (monday, 8pm) with a 24h DD. If I do so i'll be able to eat normally on tuesday, thursday and saturday diners.

Seen like this, MUDDD looks better and easier but I'm not so sure. I've never done it and I'm scared to mix up my rotations !!!

Anyway... any advice is very very welcome !!!

Annie, I'll offer this: I'd only stick with my rotations if the stress didn't freak me out. If it will, the beautiful social occasions are ruined at least in part.
I haven't experienced Muddd, but I did fast5 for a bit before JUDDD and for about four days in the middle when caloric restriction felt massively stressful. I loved fast5. Don't think I lost weight on it, but i don't think i gained, either. It was like a little oasis when I needed one.
Bonne chance.

I think MUDD is great but takes some 'learning'. As Kristin says, have you thought of Fast 5 if you don't think you can reasonably continue with your rotations?

I was going to suggest jumping up to maintenance level cals for the week...then I remembered where you are and realized every one of those dinners is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Forget the maintenance idea.

MUDDD kind of jumps between breakfast and dinner. Fast-5 allows you to set the same eating window every day. I fall back on Fast-5 when I have a series of special occasions. I figure it keeps the sirtuin enzymes flowing. I have not lost on it, but I have not gained.

The really important thing to hold in your heart. If you do gain during this exciting week, next week's DDs will wash it all away. JUDDD forgives.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I'm with Nancy on the fast-5 recommendation. It's so easy and it might be the answer for you.

During the day you eat as little as possible. If you do have anything, try to make it lean protein, FF dairy and/or raw veggies, like a salad or something. Drink lots of water.

Then during a 5 hour window later in the day/evening (you choose the hours) eat pretty much whatever you want.

For me, it's stress free and insures maintenance of my losses. I even lost a couple of pounds during the week I was in Washington D.C. That trip was a business trip for DH so we had social events and fancy dinners every night. The day time was mine, so I walked a lot, swam in the hotel pool and had 2 workout days in the gym.

Do whatever it takes that allows you to enjoy your trip! JUDD will be here waiting with rotations when you get back.

"..........tuesday, thursday, friday AND saturday !! (plus sunday @ an amusement parc right outside paris.........."

For myself, I'd have a Monday Down Day.
A Tuesday Up Day.
A Wednesday Down Day.
A Thursday Up Day.
On Friday I'd do Fast Five until whenever the festivities start, and then I'd do a Medium Day.
Saturday I'd give myself another Up Day.
And on Sunday, I'd do the best I could and simply... try to be reasonable!

And then on Monday, I'd do another Down Day and keep to a very, very strict rotation from then on.

And I'd really, really enjoy these days! Our social lives are a lot of the fun in life anyway, and it's lovely to be able to enjoy these occasions with everyone else. This way, you'll still be doing a pretty good job on JUDDD, and if you go overboard.. you know JUDDD is very forgiving, so you're unlikely to have any problems from this.

Enjoy! (It's good to see you doing so well, Annie!)

I didn't do it on purpose! But you are right. Guess I'm just a So Happy Wannabe

This was at my sister's house. Her church was celebrating Pentecost Sunday and her pastor asked everyone to wear something red. This is the only red thing I had in my suitcase. DH wanted to snap a photo in front of Sis's house. When I changed my avatar and then saw Pat's post this morning I almost took it down. But, hey! Imitation is a form of flattery, right??

Absolutely. I think next time I take a full length picture, I'm going to stage it to become a member of that club! I love black/red combination, and who wouldn't want to imitate Pat??

What a lovely photo Yam-Yam, I may follow the red and black brigade. What fun that would be.

I love the idea of the Red Pat Society ! that cracked me up !!!

As for my schedule I decided to MUDDD from monday to thursday, have a fast-5ish day on friday & saturday and a MUDDDy sunday !
Fast-5 definitely sounds real easy but the problem is that I MUST cook for my recipe creation job so I had to keep daytime eating hours

Anyway, this last week I had a 3+lbs bounce that might be induced by my new birth control pill.... so if i can at least limit the bounce this week, i'll be happy !

thank you all for your advices !
