Wow!.......Look at my numbers
I have been low carbing since 2004. So I have really cut down on processed foods for a long time. I did eat a lot of meat but I wasn't able to buy grass fed beef, and I was really consuming a lot of calories. I've been JUDDDing for 2 months and in that time have almost stopped consuming diet soda, too. Also during this time I have consumed a bit more processed food like crackers. So here are my numbers from last year and then those from 3 days ago. I believe the calorie restriction is making a big difference. (I have Dr. Johnson's book on order, so I haven't read what he says about improved bloodwork.) I am wondering how much better it can get as time goes on with JUDDD. I weighed about 220 then and now 210, age 58 but closer to 59, 5'4".

WTG!!! Those numbers look GREAT!!! But I'm curious, I wonder what's pulling you HDL (the good kind of cholesterol) down?

I dont know. The doc has never mentioned it. In 2005 it was 78, 2009 it was 91, 2011 78, and now 64. Maybe cause I don't exercise very much. I am working on that! On low carb I ate lots of nuts. Hmmm.

But it's the difference between your HDL and LDL, which has gotten better for you, LayMiz, that is also an important part of your excellent report. I'm sure your doctor is delighted with the numbers and not disappointed in the HDL at all. This is a wonderful report.
In the calorie-restriction animal studies that Dr. Johnson and many others have cited, total cholesterol (all they used to test for) and triglycerides always improved, btw. It was Dr. Johnson who hypothesized that the same would be true for only alternate-day restriction. Have you seen this article? The first quote is from Dr. Johnson's team, and it's interesting about the studies/experiences. Hope you enjoy the book when you get it!

His book is iffy on the nutritional info, Dr Johnson is a plastic surgeon not a bariatric doc. Grateful he passed on intermittent fasting to us though.
So excellent you are getting healthier!! cheers to you! |

![]() ![]() Wow, that is amazing!!!! Congratulations!!! I am hypothyroid and for that reason get my blood work done every 3-4 months. I got it done a couple days before starting JUDDD. I am due to have it retested next month. I am very curious what those numbers will be, and hoping to see some improvement -- I sure feel better if that is any indication! |
