I shouldn't have weighed....but

So I finished Tom on wednesday which was also a dd. I decided to weigh this morning as s couldn't stop wondering if Tom had altered the weight lost number. Well I was down another .700g this morning.
So it definitely made a difference. Then I was thinking how slow 1 lb a week was then the mind started wandering and I thought I would change my ud numbers to 1300 and leave my dd at 300. The calculator says ud should be 1490. Can anyone chime in and offer any advice on the possible changes to see maybe 1.5 - 2 lbs a week?

Hi Mitsa!

Great loss after TOM! Keep your UD as high as you are supposed to according to your weight & stats. It is proven time and time again that you will have better losses. What week are you in? You realize that it takes about 9 weeks for the Sirt-1 to become full force? Excited to see your results!

Please don't play with your number after only 3 weeks and while you are still losing.

That means you would reach goal in 18 weeks.... that is nothing in life's great plan. Better to do it once and do it well is my advice, even if I'm not the first to say it.

Give your body time to develop more of the Sirt1 and who knows, things may speed up. But if they don't it is still fine. This is not a race.

Yeh i know im losing, thats the main thing. 18 weeks seems miles away especially when i have wedding to go to mid August.

Oh well, i will keep numbers the same and may change them a little maybe around mid July.

Holding on, if you are losing or seeing other NSVs, until those sirtuin enzymes build up is so important. I lost a pound a week the first 3.5 weeks. Then on Wednesday DD of week 4, my energy changed, the way I was feeling changed, and my weight loss doubled to about 2 pounds/week. That continued until I messed up and did not notice I had dropped by UDs too low.

UD has to high enough to break the caloric stress response invoked the DD before. If UD is not high enough then you are just eating a low-cal diet with attendant health stressors and potential weight loss stalls. Exactly what it takes to break caloric stress response varies, especially after you have a body full of SEs. I encourage you to give yourself a little more time, see what happens in the upcoming weeks before ovulation. Eventually you may find you can drop UD calories...but don't rush into it. You may do more harm than good.

Mitsa, I can completely identify, and I hope you listen to the wise ones above.
As impatient humans, we make me laugh. If this were exaggerated just a little bit for the sake of comedy, we'd all be saying, I know i only started yesterday, but I've only lost .4 pounds in the last 12 hours and my goal is to be 40 pounds down by 7am. What can I tweak? Can I up my UDs? Down my DDs? Or switch that? Or drop carbs? Double my carbs? Do shirataki enemas? HELP ME!
(I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing at me and hoping you'll join me.)
In a month or two, i'll bet we'll be suggesting kindly that newbies relax, be patient, and let Juddd do it's thing.
I hope you have a beautiful day. Thanks for teaching me something great.

Hey Mitsa!
As a usual thing, I tend to 'feel' good most of the time. But, golly I remember that Wednesday four weeks into JUDDD, I felt especially good/great. Totally at peace and calm, yet upbeat, ready to wrassle alligators.

At first I only felt 'changed' on DDs. But, a few weeks later the feeling rolled over to UDs too. These days, I am basically a new release (V 2.0?) of the usual me.

I have seen many other JUDDD BUDDDs describe similar experiences.

I think that feeling is one of the reasons we tend to be less intense about how fast we lose - the magic covers so much that losing weight becomes just one of the benefits that enhance the complete quality of our lives.

Another thing to think about, at least in my case, is that I loose much better during different times of my cycle but averaged out its about 1.5 lbs a week. Maybe as you go through for several months, you'll find your monthly average is more than 1 lb a week.

Another thing you could *try* is throwing in a fast day every week or so to see if that speeds up your weight. That should help with the SIRT1 and if it doesn't cause you to lose more you could ditch it. However, I would be careful that it doesn't make you so hungry you quit.

Good job on losing period! I know i struggle with "only" a pound per week.. but i need to remeber.. It could be no loss or even worst. gaining a pound per week.. Breathe in breathe out.. its all good

I've read that when everything is optimal, the best expectations are about one percent of a person's weight per week.

Your doing great, time passes pretty darned quickly, just keep going!

Oh Mitsa darling leave your UD as they are. You will be blown away at how fast the weeks fly by! There will be less of you before you know it.Part of The magic is in eating all of your UD calories so enjoy them, they will make you smaller.

JoyJoy you made meAbout the shiratake enemas I so wish I liked those things but alas the thought of them makes me queasy.

I may try the fast day every week, im not worried about it making me hungry. im hardly ever hungry, it happens but not often. Thats probably why i stopped losing i reckon.

Oh I love these threads, Shiritake enema, outrageous!

Mitsa, you go to that wedding and knock 'em all dead. You are a real beauty and although you may wish you were a little smaller you will still look a million dollars. They are lucky to have you. Stand proud and tall....well as tall as you can, lol.

if you want to change anything, keep up days way up where they should be and full fast on at least one down day a week. That is a legit intermittent fasting change you can make that could help move fat on its way
