Isn't it great to be able to eat cake. I baked lots for the jubilee weekend and it's the first bite of cup cake I've had in a year!

It devils food box cake made as directed, then when cake is still warm I put onto seperate plates and poke holes into the cake, I pour caramel sauce into all the holes, then use some chocolate frosting in between layers, sprinkling with mini chocolate chips, then frost entire cake, and place regular chocolate chips all around the sides, then top the cake with your favorite candies. I used, mini p-bttr cups, mini rollos, herseys chocolate bars and kit kats. After thats done drizlle some melted chocolate over the top letting it drip down the sides. Thats it, let sit in fridge to harden. We smoke them on the grill for an hour using hickory and mesquite chips, then we coat with honey, and BBQ sauce, we use Bulls eye BBQ sauce and I doctor it up with red pepper flakes and habanaro sauce for a kick.

Arlene, I love to bake and am dying to make your cake. But my DH only likes things that are simple, that has way too much going on for him. My son is another matter all together. Next time he comes to visit your recipe will make him a very happy guy. Thanks for sharing!
