UD cals not quite there

Well, it was an UD on Monday and today Wednesday. I have not managed to eat my cals as Ive been in and out of the hospital as my father has been there since Sunday afternoon.
I have been taking some snacks like popcorn, laughing cow cheese, apples, oranges. I dont know, feel like i cant concentrate on eating my cals at the moment.

Oh dear! I am so sorry your father is in hospital! In times of stress it is really important to keep yourself as healthy as you can. Speaking from experience, going too long on low UDs and very low or fasting DDs can really wear you down (it was an accident, I did not mean to do it).

If you can get by the store, I encourage you to get some higher-calorie cheese. And higher-cal veggies like tomatoes and olives.

Other people will chime in with suggestions about portable, caloric foods. If you can carry a cooler, cold pizza comes to my mind....although pizza and stress don't seem like the best combination.

In the meantime, you watch yourself closely if this nightmare drags on. You and your family are in my prayers.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

bagels with cream cheese will pack away some calories fast, or for that matter anything with cream cheese really

Hang in there and get through this hard time. As they say JUDD is very forgiving and your father is more important right now so just do your best and pick up the pieces where they lie.

Dawn- Got the nuts, went and bought some tonight after i left hospital, Peri Peri cashews and they are delicious.

Nancy Thanks for the prayers. For dinner i had a large salad with full fat dressing with these chicken strips with a crumbed potato coating. And they were awesome. I also had 2 small pieces of licorice. and a handful of potato crisps. Needless to say, Im stuffed.

I have to say i feel so very full, like uncomfortable.

Thanks everyone for your support. Hopefully dad will come out tomorrow and that will make me very happy indeed.

Take some cream cheese along to dip your veggies into. Make some hummus and use that for dip; add some pita wedges. Guacamole and chips.

I'm sorry to hear your father isn't doing good, all best to eat.
Food I can think of: anti-pasti, nuts (macadamias are high in fat, and best from australia , avocado.

Take care!!!

Sorry to hear about your Dad

I would second the recommendation for nuts. They have sooo many good calories and easy to take with you. You could also mix-in some raisins.

Hope your Dad comes home very very soon!
