I'm not surprised - with a name like sammycat.

Okay, you got me started a little now. My DH asked if I'd remarry. I said, "Are you nuts? I'm filling this house with 300 cats! Not a another man! I've learned my lesson. You'll look down from heaven and say, 'She did it, she really did it!"

He can't remember what UD and DD mean. So funny - I test him all the time to see if he's really listening cause it makes me laugh. My cats listen better.

Sophiethecat!! So good to see you!

It confirms I don't have to weigh myself daily - my body is happy in this range, happy with the way I eat and with what I eat, and so I trust it to not need me looking over its shoulder and micromanaging it all the time.

[...]

Maintaining my range without daily weighing and calorie counting has also let me confirm that I am now eating in a way that requires no thought or calorie counting anymore, at least while I'm eating at home with my same foods. This has to do with trusting my body and its appetites and normal fluctuations too. I tend to naturally stick to my dd/FD type of routine but anymore I don't even really think of how I eat as "DDs" and "FDs" or anything to do with actual diet. It's just my normal everyday woe, just comes naturally.

You are doing like I did for so many, many years when I was slender - not being tied to the scale and not really "worrying" about food and what I ate. You are "in the groove"!! I'm really, REALLY happy for you because I know what it's like and hope to achieve the same thing again for myself.

My best to you, always!

It was me who mentioned puppies used to do well on the goat's milk the Vet recommended to us back before there were Pet Marts to readily shop for formulas.

Sophiethecat, thanks so much for stopping in and letting us know all these good things. I hope your gall bladder health continues and you make progress on lots of projects.

Hoping vanilla is getting lots of rest right now.

It's wonderful to see you too, Sheridan. Thank you.

I remember you saying the bolded, and I've no doubt at all that you'll enjoy all that again - it's just a matter of time. Glad you're here with us and I also wish you the best in all things, my Bud.

Hobbes is adorable. We love kittens, but can't have them in our condo - wouldn't be fair to have to keep it confined all the time.

I go in for more surgery on my elbow in a couple of hours. This will be the third surgery since I was hit in Turkey at the end of May. At least we are home now and everyone speaks English!

Vanilla. - hope you are comfortable and doing well.

Trying to Juddd as much as possible, but not being able to do anything except sit on the couch, I am dependent on DH's cooking. At least he does low carb, so just watching portions. At least the scale is going down.

He is still not interested in cat food, so I'm feeding him egg yolks & kitty formula. Yesterday he didn't need the bottle.

Yes, we're keeping him. We named him Hobbes.
I am delighted that Hobbes has a wonderful new home. No surprise there then.

New subject: Didn't know where to post this, but just noticed that on the list of Forums, JUDDD's threads are the 3rd highest:

HCG - 4,400 - 199,000
ATKIN'S INDUCTION 2,500 - 110,000
JUDDD - 3,000 - 94,000

I think that's good. I was just surprised I guess more than anything. Didn't expect it to be so high - that's all.

After thought: I guess I was surprised too because there's not tons of folks on the Maintenance Lane. Maybe people went on maintenance and just don't post anymore. Whatev....
JUDDD is the happiest place I know, although I am sure there may be other places here with faster weight loss. For most of us here speed has not been the only consideration, though some have lost very quickly. What I love about JUDDD is that it works with 'real life.

Hope all goes well with your surgery tomorrow, I will be thinking of you, .

Vanilla, please let us know how things went as soon as you can.

Sophiecat, so lovely to see you posting your wonderful maintenance experiences here. I think you just go to show what I say about JUDDD and 'real' life. They are compatible.

I'm not sure...I checked a couple of hairs and they have four bands of color (brown/white) but a tiny bit at the tip is actually black! I hadn't noticed how complex the individual hairs are...I just looked at some photos of silver tabbies and I think Hobbes looks a bit different.

"Silver tabby" sure sounds fancy, though! I like it!

Friday and I am off work for the week. Almost finished my chores and DH is off to the cattle auction to see if he can buy me another bottle baby calf to drink my extra goat milk. I just need more to do but so need to use that milk for a purpose.
DD for me and I am going to make it a fasting one other than my morning coffee with HWC and coconut oil. Lots of lemon water and pacing myself so I don't get too hot working outside. I have only maintained this month so far and would like to see at least a couple of pounds gone by next Friday so I am going to be super good for the next 9 days. I can do this.

I don't know whether this is a June thread thing or an NSV. I'm on a week's holiday, visiting with different family members Was a bit nervous about rotations in social situations night after night. Nervous being away from shitaki and cabbage. Nervous about no longer being the chunky sister (my total lifelong identity).
Last night I was with my dad, and his wife who is 73 and a phenomenal cook. I ate a gorgeous UD dinner, after which she remarked on how "skinny" I looked. (She is the first to notice the change. I will love her forever for this!)
I told her about Juddd.
Guess what? She's starting tomorrow! We had SO much fun talking about it, even as she taught me to make great pastry this morning!
Oh man, I can't tell you how much I am LOVING Juddd today.
Thanks, always, to all of you here.

Wow, so happy for you that you are ditching that identity thing. Lots more "lifelong" to break out of the mold!

But especially happy that you bonded with your dad's wife and are having good family moments. Nice that you could offer her some wisdom.

Yes, I must admit, I have a soft spot for those who first notice when I have slimmed down! I always think they are geniuses.

Seabreezes, I hope your surgery went well and you are feeling better soon.

vanilla, looking forward to seeing you again here, ready to pick up where you left off.

Hello JB's! Thank you all so much for remembering me. I've been home couple days now and doing well. Surgery went well and it's nice to be on the other side. Being good to myself and letting my body dictate what it wants and when for the time being, food wise. Have the swelly belly so I feel huge!!

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers - love you all!
