Thank you so much for your help...I feel like such a bad mom.

He is extra tiny...we think the litter was born premature, and on top of that, he is the runt of the litter!
So even if he's at the age when kitties should go on their own, he might be a bit underdeveloped.

Man, he did not like having his hiney rubbed!!!
It made him pee, though.

I'm sorry i didn't want you to feel bad. If you have never raised kittens or puppies you wouldn't have known that. You are doing great!

Oh, YOU didn't make me feel bad!!!
Just felt bad I didn't know, and wish I had known sooner.
When I was watching the videos, I actually started crying!

Good thing I mentioned it...thanks again for responding so quickly.

He is so playful and happy, I don't think he is in any pain.

Well, back to poop watch!!!

Well, still no poop...

But he slept (or at least let me sleep) a good seven or eight hours last night!
Previously, he's woken me up every 2-4 hours.
His tummy seems less round/tight today.
Maybe he was so undernourished that he is "using" all the food, and there's just not much waste?

I've been rubbing his hiney when he's asleep...it doesn't upset him as much!

I've tried to give him commercial cat food several times (both wet & dry), but he's just not interested. So I've been giving him little bits of cooked egg yolk mashed with kitten formula, and he goes nuts for it!!!

Well, I'm relieved, and I'm not even Mama.

When we reared orphaned puppies, goat milk was a good choice to help out, and you could find it at the grocer's. (This before the day of readily available Pet Stores.) Maybe Tammy would have an opinion on that for kittens.

Father's Day choices here may have placed me into the high sodium sphere. Hopefully, with plenty of water and low sodium choices tonight I'll be fine. It's a DD and I've found that was a lot of help, with men's ideas dominating the household, both husband and son!

I wouldn't give the kitten any type of milk. At 3-4 weeks I would start mixing the kitten formula with canned kitten food and then wean to canned food by itself and then by 6 weeks they are usually on dry food. Glad to hear he is doing so good. Keep up the good work

Hi ladies, been extremely busy the last few days. Haven't weighed since last week due to this busyness or even had time to check in and this is just a drive-by.

Will have my surgery on Wednesday unless anything shows up in pre-op tests (yet to be done). I'll be busy with getting everything together so will be absent until I'm coherent enough to log in. I'd appreciate your collective prayers and thoughts! Thanks and hope to check in again maybe if I have some time tomorrow evening.

Thinking of you this morning, vanilla. Yes, you will be expected to report in for duty after R and R.

jenny, how's your little one?

Hoping the JUDDD news continues to be good for everyone.

I had a bounce today because of a long exercise session yesterday, but at least I timed it as well as I could. On an UD so that now I have the DD to try to ease my swollen muscles and lose the water.

It was late in the day, though. With caregiving, you tend to hit the ground running in the morning, sometimes still in pajamas. So the evening, when things have calmed down, is usually a better time for personal routine.

He's doing great, thank you!

The first couple days I had to carry him around in a little sling, but now he's getting more independent & adventurous. He's SO playful...and likes to cuddle...hasn't peed in my bed for 3 nights!!!

He is still not interested in cat food, so I'm feeding him egg yolks & kitty formula. Yesterday he didn't need the bottle.

Yes, we're keeping him. We named him Hobbes.

Yes, glad you posted this. Even though cats love milk, it is not good for them. It can give them diarrhea and get so bad, it can kill kittens. But I don't think you're doing that now (didn't read every post). I'm a cat worshipper, love cats more than people. So glad you're keeping him

New subject: Didn't know where to post this, but just noticed that on the list of Forums, JUDDD's threads are the 3rd highest:

HCG - 4,400 - 199,000
ATKIN'S INDUCTION 2,500 - 110,000
JUDDD - 3,000 - 94,000

I think that's good. I was just surprised I guess more than anything. Didn't expect it to be so high - that's all.

After thought: I guess I was surprised too because there's not tons of folks on the Maintenance Lane. Maybe people went on maintenance and just don't post anymore. Whatev....

Hi JUDDD Buds, It's great to see everyone doing so well.

I'm posting this in the Maintenance thread too...

I stopped weighing daily. Haven't weighed daily since around the beginning of this month. I don't want to think about weight so much anymore.

I get on the scale now and then to make sure I'm maintaining properly and I am. I was 138# one day pre-Tom and back to 136# this morning, so still hanging out in the range I set months back. It confirms I don't have to weigh myself daily - my body is happy in this range, happy with the way I eat and with what I eat, and so I trust it to not need me looking over its shoulder and micromanaging it all the time. (I only say this as an individual in maintenance, and what seems best for me alone - not to weigh daily.) I probably should have taken this attitude more during WLM too, but at that time I was so driven to lose as fast as I could and therefore set myself up for frustrations and disappointment. I had put a lot of pressure on myself during WLM and let the scale dictate my mood daily... But during the my 7 months of maintenance, I've gradually weaned myself off it.

Maintaining my range without daily weighing and calorie counting has also let me confirm that I am now eating in a way that requires no thought or calorie counting anymore, at least while I'm eating at home with my same foods. This has to do with trusting my body and its appetites and normal fluctuations too. I tend to naturally stick to my dd/FD type of routine but anymore I don't even really think of how I eat as "DDs" and "FDs" or anything to do with actual diet. It's just my normal everyday woe, just comes naturally.

I eat a lot of the same types of foods from day to day when I'm at home (proteins, variety of veggies and fruits) and so I don't have to think too much about calories. Although I don't count calories, sometimes I do estimate when I look back over my food log, and that's how I see that I naturally eat the "dd/FD" way (which for me is less than 800 calories in the day and then FD eating after 5 p.m., which I still think of as my cut-off between "dd" and "FD".

I think my daily calories are probably in a fairly consistent range from day to day (not a huge calorie swing between days most of the time) but I do usually eat only one larger meal per day, so it's still kind of F5ish and a couple times per week it's a bit MUDDDy. Now and then I have a full "FD" due to get-togethers, dining out and stuff.

I am still combining some Perricone and Wahl principles together, with anything else I find that works for me. I have protein before anything else. Pretty much daily I have proteins and also try to have fish as one of those daily proteins (sardines, salmon), and veggies including leafy greens, along with berries & other fruits, beans, evoo, almonds and other nuts, water, tea, wine, sometimes coffee, sometimes breads (good ones) and other starches.

I would say my day is 80% "healthy" foods, and would say the same for my overall diet week to week. I still have my indulgences (sometimes daily) and don't feel guilt about it, I just limit portions.

I take 2 carb blocker capsules (Carb Intercept by Natrol) now when I have something like burritos, pizza, spaghetti, more than 1 slice bread, etc. and I think it helps. I don't seem to get tired after eating carby foods anymore. I think it helps with next morning bloat too if I have something carby in the evening. I feel no side effect from it.

I've been working on things I'd let go outside of the forum - projects and interests that I'm getting back into, which is cool. I still check in though I'm not very active on LCF lately. Maybe I will jump in from time to time, and perhaps get more active again here as summer winds down.

I can't believe that was a year ago I started trying to lose weight. What a journey since then, from vLC to JUDDD to other types of IF and to the foods I eat now. It was a process and I learned a lot from each thing.

I still own my gall bladder though I admit, there are a few days I wonder about that decision. (It's not gallstones, but biliary dyskinesia with a 35% ejection fraction). Usually my GB purrs along except around Tom, and then it's not a happy camper over anything. Otherwise it's pretty calm except if I eat too much fat like I did this morning, eating eggs and drenching my toast in a lot of evoo. But I'm still doing what I can diet/lifestyle and taking supps for liver and GB. I'm intent on waiting to see how I get along in the coming weeks/months. It's already improved so much. In April I was sick at least 20 days out of the month, and with the change in diet since then, I've only had 3 sick days in June. Either what I'm doing is helping or it's just a type of remission. Time will tell. But if it gets bad don't worry, I won't be stubborn and I will have the surgery.

Just wanted to say "hi" and give an update from maintenance world. I miss and you all! Welcome to the new Buds too.
