I think my DD soup recipe is #798, not #800. I'm going to look at all the recipes today - I need some more HIGH VOLUME veggie ones for DDs. I felt so good, strong and healthy from all those vitamins and minerals from 2 qts of veggies in me. I usually feel so weak on DDs. What a difference. Hope you find some good recipes you like also.

See you later
Ohhhh! Noooooo!!!!!! Please don't call me GrannyThong.

Well at least not yet anyway, I haven't earned it! .

DD today.

It was too hot and humid to make any large amount of soup today.

I just made a carrot/daikon soup broth that took about five minutes to cook.

I cut the pieces small and threw them in the magic bullet with a little water and pulverized it. I was thinking to put it in the microwave right in that container like they do on the commercial but chickened out.

Anyway I heated up the water in the electric kettle, poured that into the pot over the veggies, and it cooked in minutes.

I sipped on that throughout the day and it really helped.

By the way, maybe try to add in some more protein to your DD, it may help you feel more satisfied longer, since protein helps to stabilze your blood sugar levels. Best to you.
Cactusrose - Thanks for the heads up on the soup. I'll look for it. And good reminder about the protein. You're right - I forgot about that. I usually have some Greek yogurt in the morning, but I think I should have some protein later on too.

I didn't know Ernestine had a book coming out -- I watched a video clip of her discussing her love of running (she had done something like 9 marathons), and talking about her work as a personal trainer.

I love that Brick House video SO much!!!

It is totally astounding how young one can stay with weight training -- there are a lot of great examples out there -- male and female.

Thankfully, I love exercise!

Sunday --

Yes, I had done a lot of calorie restriction -- I spent most of the last year on 1000 calories or less a day -- sometimes much less than that. I think my body was just DONE with that for a while -- the last round of p2 had left me very weak and without energy. I'd gotten trapped in a cycle of ever-lower calories just to avoid gaining, and it was backfiring on me badly.

I'm loving the low-carb refeeding, and am just hitting the gym, hard, and allowing my body to build itself back up. In another couple of weeks, I think I am going WAY back to basics (for me) and am going to give Atkins Induction another try. I stalled out on low carb a while back, but now with the bodybuilding in the mix, a clean induction might well be enough to lean me out sufficiently for my tastes.

I do know that I feel best on adequate calories and low to very low carbs -- and I build muscle very well and have great endurance on that sort of diet -- so I am going to run with that for now.

I felt better today, physically, than I had in ages -- and I got in a killer weights workout, too -- dripping sweat, literally, on the mat. Followed that with a burger and toppings that would have made even Dr. Atkins drool! Obviously, no bun.

ust checking in - no scale, although yesterday morning I weighed on a friend's scale and was within parameters even if it was a few pounds off
family member surgery went well, now back at their house helping out. I totally could've brought my scale but forgot it. Bummer, but I am being super duper careful and JUDDDing. I upped my DD calories yesterday because of hospital food LOL not knowing exactly what was in everything but still trying no starch no sugar as much as I could tell. Plain meat, salad, nonsugared yogurt and no extra sugar fruit

Taking care of a beautiful 3-yo niece this morning, watching Bug's Life.

Don't forget "the scale she bounces". You are doing great and need to relax and allow the magic to continue.

A three year old and A Bug's Life, sounds great.

1st week

Hello everyone,

Thank you again for all my welcomes. This is my first official week doing JUDDD. I started at 215, went down to 209 but went overboard ON MY LAST UD. I have to do a lot better since this morning I am back up to 211. I know this way of eating (UD, DD) works and I am back on the path. Today, is another DD. I will be very careful tomorrow on my UD.

We've all been there! It's frustrating, but JUDDD is very forgiving compared to other WOE.

Thank you

Thank you Carly.

I am enjoying the flexibility of JUDDD and just need to remember, still within the calories allowed on the UDs!!!

I am not sure if his is unreasonable, but my goals are as follows from this day forward:

6/25 Started at 215
6/29 210.6
7/04 211.9

My UD over weekend I went overboard. Back on track and hope to see another downward movement.
