Ciao!!!
Mirtilla!!! You've been on since May? That's great. I don't remember seeing your posts before. If you want to you can post your losses on the June weigh in thread. I'm kinda encouraged by slow losers. I'm the slow loser poster girl. I'm off to a great start with JUDDD, but expect it to slow up....and I don't mind either - like you I really like this WOE!!!

In fact, the main reason I stay low carb is for the anti inflammatory nature of the diet -- it DOES help! It doesn't fix the problem entirely (maybe nothing ever will, since Lyme is an inflammatory condition), but it does make a big difference.
I told my doctor about it and she believes it to be a wheat or dairy allergy. I don't want to give up my cheese or my HWC, so it could be wheat. But I have a sneaky suspicion it is a sugar allergy. I don't know the sugar/wheat connection (does sugar have wheat in it?) but when I eliminate sugar, and by that even going low carb, I do much better. When low carb I eat cream and cheese and don't feel that inflammation. But add in the sugar and oy. I still have the feeling of puffy joints in my fingers but it just isn't as bad. When I loaded the past few days I have had inflammation (I am guessing) in my knees. Every time I wanted to bend my knees while bending down to get something my knees were so uncomfortable and achy and sore. I do know that something needs to be done because my Mom has arthritis and if I can go wheat/gluten free and be free of the pain and all she has been through I am all for it.

Welcome Mirtilla!

Way to go C'Marie!!!! Glad this is working for you so far

Dawn -- sugar is known to be inflammatory for most people. I also suspect I have a problem with dairy, but am resistant to the idea of giving it up completely. I will if I absolutely must, though. Gluten, I can live without.

Sunday -- I have the whole Urban Rebounding Xtreme Metabolic Training series -- 13 dvds. Some of them are relatively sane -- but some of them I still can't complete without modifying. I have a lot of trouble with that "floor to rebounder and back again" jump move!

I'm trying a slighty higher down day over here -- my 500 regular calories, plus 300 calories in coconut oil. That still puts me within the maintenance parameters assuming I count all the calories from the coconut oil, so hopefully there will be no real damage done.

I am battling a lot of inflammation at the moment -- obvious water retention, and so forth -- not sure what is causing it. It might be hormones, might be allergies (hayfever variety) -- I don't know, but it isn't helping me feel better

I'll try to get a workout in tonight -- life intervened yesterday and I didn't manage to get one in

Mini~ You also workout pretty intensely, so you are good to go with the higher day.

I hope Dawn, Marie and you can get a good handle on what the issues are that cause the inflammation? On Marie, I believe hers is arthritis mostly, but I hate to see this battle with the pain.

Mirtilla, It is great to have you! Love that we have so many from overseas!

Natasha, Watch the classifieds and ebay, because you really could find a steal on a rebounder. I have never regretted this one purchase. I have an elliptical, but have to limit my exercise due to the thing is like climing stairs (mine is the cheaper model) and after about 10 minutes my knees start feel the strain, so I limit the use.

I am going to look for mine, because there is one workout where you use the rebounder to bounce from your butt to your feet, do you recall this? I never could get the hang of it!

Sunday --I love that move! I find it amazingly fun -- especially the version where you go around in a circle around the rebounder while you do it -- not sure if you have that version or not!

Ladies -- I am done with Juddd, for now. I'm going back to what I KNOW works for me when I am working out, and that is straight up low carb -- high fat, high protein, eat to satisfaction. I may not lose doing this, but once I am really adjusted to it again, any gains will be muscle primarily, and I will not be hungry, miserable, or obsessive.

I may do something else later in the summer -- another go with JUDDD, or another round of hcg, to lean out more .... maybe even a strict Atkins induction period would be enough to make it happen. For now, I am embracing what I know works for my body, and that is low carb and lots of muscle building exercises.

I got in a killer legs and shoulders workout this evening -- squats, baby, squats!

Mini~ I am laughing because that one move cracks me up and now the JumpSport website has a video of bounders using 2 tramps to bounce off one onto the other using their rear. It is a hoot!

WOE: hCG Rx shots/JUDDD maintain
Start Date: 1/4/2010 Now R9 P2
Just a quick run through as I leave town today - prayers appreciated for a family member surgery -
I am down a bit after my UD yesterday. I am trying to maintain not lose at this point but since I am just starting JUDDD and want that gene going I am considering raising my DD about 100 calories to 600 instead of 500. What do you think? I am still just within my 2-pound window under my last dose weight from my hcg round. We are supposed to stay there for 3 weeks. I do want to stabilize before vacation and then not gain while ON vacation. Vacation is in 2 weeks +2 days for me.
Suggestions? Raise UD? Raise DD? Leave alone? Since I am traveling later today the idea of having a slightly bigger DD allotment sounds nice but I don't want to go up too much.
I will try to check in when I can.

Marie, I am thinking that would be 35% and Dr. J says this is acceptable. I know that many on here could not do the 500 calories induction (due to never fasting previously) so Beeb & Pat suggested that they work down to it. Beeb said that she never, ever went down from 700. I know she was close to goal to begin with though.

I will say a prayer for your family.

Chelly!!! Wow, you're brand new!!! One post only! Glad to be the first to welcome you. Let us know how it goes. You must have read the thread "WHAT IS JUDDD? COME INSIDE & SEE!!" - since you've already successfully made it through your first DD and UD. Search the threads if problems come up or ask questions.

Good job so far.

Sunday -- I'll still be posting on the DE thread -- I am just getting going with the dirt, lol!

We have two rebounders (my roommate has one too) -- I may need to try the double butt bounce! I'm not sure I can get enough spring on ours though -- they are the oldschool, hard rebounders, so not a lot of lift there... alas. I might come down on the frame with my tailbone, and that doesn't sound at all fun....

Just started doing JUDDD and was impressed by all the success stories I read! Today being a downday is my 3rd day on the program. Haven`t lost anything yet but I`m hoping that by the end of this week I will have a loss. Crossing my fingers just in case. Hoping this WOE will work for me as I haven`t really found anything that sticks. Been doing LC off and on for 4 years.

Thanks
Tammy

Hi,
I'm on my 6th official DD. It is still pretty hard but I plan to stick with this for as long as I can. I've read it gets easier and I can't wait. I'm keeping under 500 on DD. I'm feeling a wee bit nauseous during the day as I have to save most of my calories for the evening or I will not make it. I get headaches in the afternoon also.

UD's are okay so far, just have to control that feeding frenzy a bit.

I'm planning to add some of the shiratiki noodles to the broth I drink on DD's and I have a couple of questions about them.

I see you have to rinse them and par-boil them. Can I do this ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator?
About how long would they last?
Should they be dried a bit b-4 use?
If I dry them for a recipe can I store them dried?

I'm sorry for all the questions at once, but I like to get some of my meals ready ahead of time b-4 the HUNGER MONSTER ATTACKS.
--------
Meri
