I only weigh and chart losses after DD's to avoid the drama and whiplash.

Goal: Improve weight training routine - Inspired by famous 73 y.o. body builder Ernestine Shepard. Her body looks like a young woman, and she's in optimal health. I think she started at age 56. Wow, wow, wow!!!

Thanks everyone for the insights and encouragement. I've been plugging away at Judd for 12 weeks and have eeked out a 10 pound loss in that time. I hate to sound like a downer because I do feel the difference but it is soooooo dang slow (for me)! I keep tweaking in the hope of finding that magic, but despair. I think for some of us it is destined to just be a long, slow, frustrating slog through the mud and sometimes (often) it makes me mad and sad.

I feel for you. Been there, done that.........and will do it again. We all stall and plateau.

If it'll make you feel any better, I plateaued for 12 months last year - lost 7 bleeping pounds on a 1,000 to 1,200 calorie low fat SENSIBLE diet. Now THAT's something to be sad about I actually did cry once - because I was being so GOOD. When I told my doctor, he just rolled his eyes. My metabolism is so slow I did a search on the web regarding speeding up the metabolism and found JUDDD. So hopefully, JUDDD will speed up our metabolisms like it has for others here. Otherwise, I'll be making the "slow loosers and slow metabolism thread" my "home" thread.

Actually, 10 lbs in 12 weeks doesn't look bad to me. You're going down!!! You will get there, no doubt about it, and you'll be so happy you won't remember the stalls. I really believe JUDDD is the answer for us.

6/1 - 198 - UD - yesterday's MD went slightly wrong! So I'm starting the rotation again today to take into account the coming weekend's events. This will probably result in a gain but I'll take that on the chin and keep trying!
6/2 - 196 - DD - definitely was not expecting a loss after the last couple of days, especially as I had alcohol for the first time in a month yesterday - but I'll take it, thanks!
6/3 - 198 - UD - Hmmm, things not going well, I've really messed up over this holiday weekend! FOCUS, SMITH!

I went on vacation for 10 days. Did not follow JUDDD. I gained 5 lbs. Could have done MUCH worse.

6/7 / UD = 153.0 lbs. (almost back to where I was before vacation)

My goal for June is to be somewhere (anywhere) in the 180's by the end of the month.


6/1 - UD - 195.2
6/2 - DD - 193.2 - I ate my fill of watermelon on my UD yesterday and peed my head off as an expected result. I'm real good about drinking water so I have to wonder if the watermelon didn't give me an extra push. Dunno but not going to overthink it.
6/3 - UD - 191.6
6/4 - DD - 193.8 - Yes, I was craving and eating lots of salty stuff yesterday.
