THERESA to JUDDD. I put your stats in the JUDDD calculater, and at 20% weight loss, with little to no exercise, I came up with 2069 UD calories, and 414 DD calories. For 25%, the UD remains the same, but the DD will go up to 517. I'm afraid you may have been shorting yourself of some UD calories, and therefore, not getting the benefit of the calorie deficent you need between UD & DD. And, isn't it great that you can actually have so many more calories on those UD's?

You aren't eating enough on your UD. When I enter your stats in the JUDDD calculator, I get 2069 calories for UD and 414 calories for DD at 20% with no exercise. I think you should probably read the stickies at the top of the forum and get to know the principles behind why and how JUDDD works. At the levels you're eating, you're not going to bring yourself out of the DD stress response, so your body is going to want to hang on to everything, and you won't be getting all the wonderful healing benefits of JUDDD.

This is a really simple plan, and I wish you the best of luck.

ETA: Carole posted while I was still typing. She's right, lol!

I know it's scary, but YES, eat that much! I came here scared to to eat up to my numbers too. I asked if I'd have a "quick 10-pound gain" because I'm hypothyroid and gain really easily. Well, trust me, this can work, and it honestly can be like magic. But as part of the magical formula is to FEED your body one day, and not so much the next.

The hardest part of eating this way is simply counting the calories. There are NO other rules.

Teresa. Eat Eat Eat all of your UD calories as the girls have said Don't expect to feel any different four days in, it usually takes a bit longer than that, but not much longer. Since you have already started out by guessing at your calories let me quickly add, weigh and measure everything that you eat. This is the only way you can be sure you are not going over or under your calories.Even being wrong by as little as one or two hundred calories either way can keep you from losing. I look forward to seeing your success.

Gosh you are all a real help. I know i said i would post back in a week but i'm already excited by all your freindly response's. By the way girls, i live in Glasgow' Scotland and i am married with a 16 year old son. I used to be 112lb right up until i had my bouncing baby boy in 1996. After he was born the weight just crept and crept on. I also suffer from PCOS for the past 15 years, so as you can imagine i've tried every diet out there . Now that you have all steered me in the right direction ishall watch my intake like a hawlk on my UD and DD..
....See.....I'm even getting down with the lingo

Welcome! You've already gotten great advice.

I've got a 16yo boy too (and a 19yo boy, as well as 14 and 5 yo girls).

Once you get the numbers right, I imagine you'll start seeing some great results. Many (myself included) came here a bit disbelieving that it could work for "me". I was pretty close to goal, and had some healing to do with my metabolism before my body was willing to let go of much weight, but I am now (and have been since early April) sitting 5 pounds below my original goal and able to eat SO much more than I could before JUDDD.

It really is "magic".
