I will be having my second ever MD tomorrow. Keira will be out of town and DH wants Saturday to be date night. We get date night about twice a year, so I'm considering this a good enough reason to alter my rotation. Plus (shhh, don't tell anyone) there will most likely be plenty of exercise on Saturday's UD!

Oh get your minds out of the gutter! We're spending the morning volunteering at a local shelter and will be painting railings all morning! Dirty people. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

I'm going to do a MD this Tuesday. It should be a DD, but I'm meeting some friends for dinner and drinks, and I can't drink on an empty stomach. Plus one of the main reasons I'm switching from LC is I'm tired of feeling deprived. And sitting there starving & sober while everyone else eats and drinks would be very hard.
Too bad I won't be having any "fun" exercise like Keirasmom.

For a somewhat recent example, July 4th fell on a Wednesday. My normal DD are MWF. In the book, Dr J said holidays and your birthday are automatically up days. Who could argue with that logic? But, that made 3 scheduled up days in a row and that just doesn't work out well. The plan was to switch T-Th to MD. I did ok on Tuesday, not quite as well on Thursday. The disruption bothers me and once the train gets derailed I have a hard time getting back on track before Monday. Even when I know in advance....even when I try to adjust things. The end result for me was that I carried a little extra water weight through the middle of the next week and finally saw a small woosh after the Wednesday down day of the following week.

For me this happens almost every time I mess with the scheduled DD. It takes 2 really good DD to fix the departure from schedule. So, I don't want to change my DD unless it is really necessary. We were going to a party on the 4th...if we didn't have plans with friends I would have stuck to my DD. I will only alter my schedule for major holidays or celebrations. So, for greeting card holidays or holidays where nobody gets the day off work; I'm doing my DD.

You ladies have me thinking. I was considering altering my rotation for a family event on Saturday, but, like some of you, I'm afraid that this will lead to the 'I can find any excuse for a MD' mentality. I've made it through many events on a DD that could have been considered a good excuse for a MD (I've been JUDDDING since May), but the only time I ever broke my rotation was when my husband planned a surprise weekend getaway for our 10th anniversary.

I also gained 4 pounds in 3 days, and I'm just now getting back to the pre-free-for-all binge fest weight That was almost 1 month ago. I think I've learned my lesson

I just tried this and it was a monumental fail. Monday was an UD, tried to do MD Tuesday so I could go out to eat for dinner. Turned into another UD, so did Wednesday. Not really sure of the calorie count since Tues & Weds both involved eating out. For some odd reason, MD are harder for me to control than DD.
