Rule #2 on JUDDD

OK, cause we all know there is only one rule on JUDDD.

#1 (and only) Stick to your calories. Down Days and Up Days. Well, you can go under on your Down Days, but shouldn't on your Up Days, but that is really just a subset of Rule #1, so we'll call that Rule #1B

Anywho.....

So, my official new rule #2:

You know that cool new scale you just ordered, the one like I did for say, traveling, so you don't continue the pattern of going wicked off the beam every time you go on a trip because you are not immediately accountable?

Yeah, that cute little bright orange thing that you just HAD to unpack tonight? Well, and since it is unpacked, you just HAVE to make sure it works ok?

Well, don't if:

A) It is night. That little sucker is going to weigh you heavy. It just is. They are evil creatures that way.

B) You have just had a great down day - but that included a LOT of water you have not yet peed out and you are bloated like a baby rhino.

C) You are easily angered, frustrated and annoyed by seeing said scale be at least 5 lbs heavier than you want it to be because it is night, and you are bloated and you didn't have the good sense to wait until morning.

Just don't.

That is all.

You make me laugh, and I just know how you are feeling! But hey, that mean little scale will have a slower number tomorrow morning! And you know that, and for that you rock!
Did you got one of those mini scales? The one you can barely put on foot on? I have looked on them the other week, but was very sceptic. And since I don't have the money for vacation these days, I didn't got one.

Marianne, thanks for the tip. I'm nowhere near a scale four mornings each week. It's frustrating, but I suspect that "wicked off the beam" might not begin to describe my insanity if I weighed myself any other time of day. I'm glad for the reminder. Happy 5-lb drop today,
Kristin

Marianne you make me. It's only water. A couple of good toilet flushes and it will be history.

Well, I spent more time in the bathroom than in bed last night, and did have a .6 loss today, so all is good. (Translating that from last night, it was a 5 lb loss!)

I have found that the pretty new orange scale weighs 2.2 lbs heavier than my normal scale - I do think the fact that the foot plate is really small and kind of hard to balance on has something to do with that.

But it is good to know - so when I travel with it, I can just convert, as my "at home" scale is the one that I have used since the beginning, so it is my consistency monitor.

But lesson learned - NEVER AT NIGHT AGAIN!

The definition of an optimist should include anyone who weighs at night. There are some things humanity was not meant to know.

no kidding. I lose .4 lb an hour all night long from water loss, urination, perspiration, respiration. If I weigh 10 hours before I get up, I will be 4 lb heavier. every night. I am a big person, so that is probably more than most of you would see as a difference, but it's good to know in case you ever have to look at that night weight!
