I buy 2 packs of celery hearsts each week. I chop each stalk into 3 pieces. I only want to chop 1-2x per week so I store them in a plastic ziplock container full of water in the fridge.
1 stalk is 10 calories and 3 full stalks (9 peices) is really filling for 30 calories with which ever fat free/ low fat dip or dressing that you like.

FF Greek yogurt or 1% cottage cheese.
For sweetness you can add splenda and cinnamon.
If you want the cottage cheese to be a little salty you can add season salt or other spices.

Wow - great ideas on this thread.

My favorite DD food:

80 calories - Morning Star Griller Chik'n patty sandwiched in lots of lettuce leaves with red onion, tomato slices, mustard. I make it huge. So filling. I eat sometimes 4 or 5 a day and it feels like an UD. You can exchange the patty for any other protein you want of course.

I take all the fixin's in a tupperware to El Pollo Loco, cut the meat off a chicken leg (90) and make it there when I go out with DH.

Other favs:

200 calories - WW SmartOne Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, gravy, mashed potatoes. Add favorite steamed veggies and you have a turkey dinner. Or mix it all together with lots of favorite steamed veggies so it's like a big casserole.

100 calories - Toasted Thomas' Thin Bagels with 0 calorie butter spray.

Or got the salty route - add 1 Tbsp fat free sour cream, salt, (chopped scallions - optional) and voila! Love this, it's my go to DD snack. Keeps me full for a long time!

I just posted this in Elise (brewstate)'s thread about cheeses, in response to Nancy (gotsomeold)'s mention of wraps.

Wrap chat - I shred carrots and fresh yellow squash together in a small food processor, Nancy, and mix with just a little mayo. I place long thin slices of cucumber onto the wrap and fill with the carrot/squash mixture. It is messy to eat, but wonderful!!! Now here's the TMI part - it will keep a DD from being constipating, without adding too many carbs. Hmmm... I need to add that to the not-a-recipe thread.

Good suggestion...wanted to add that shredding raw beets and adding them to wraps/salads is yummy too, and an easy way to get them into your diet. They're a bit high in sugar for me, but they are so nutritious, and good for the liver & blood.

(I'm allergic to cucumbers & raw squash!)

I do this with ham, but I cut the spear in half because a whole spear is too much pickle to meat ratio for me. I only just started liking pickles in the last year though!

Since my pickle spears are so not the same size either I have to split some of them in half also. Had such a huge one yesterday I had to cut it into thirds. I have never eaten pickles until I started JUDDDing. Who knows why I suddenly developed a taste for pickles. But glad I took up the habit.

I like Foster Farms Oven Roasted Turkey Breast for 30 calories a slice. (find it in your deli section).

I lay it out like a taco, put a bit of shredded cabbage on it and then line up sliced hot peppers on top of the cabbage. I hold it like a taco when I eat it.

Very filling and you can have several for not many calories and the hot peppers make my mouth very happy.

Weight watchers Santa Fe Chicken 140 calories over miracle rice.
I can't eat it in one sitting. Can't usually say that about 140 calories!
