Just because....

Others seem to find success when they come in to vent, I am going to try it!

Dangit, I am tired of seeing the mid 170's on that scale! I want that last number to be less than a 4. Is that just too darn much to ask????

(of course if the weekends weren't so challenging for me, I wouldn't have this problem, probably, but I digress... I am really good 6 days of the week, though!)

OK, vent over. May I have my whoosh now?

You have my sympathy. I am now into MONTH FIVE of no losses on JUDDD. It obviously doesn't work for me at all. I don't know why I keep doing it. Probably the fear that I'll gain. It's really depressing. But I keep going. Not sure what the point is, though.

I'm sure you'll break through soon. It seems to work for everyone else but me!

I hope you get your whoosh MarIanne! I have noticed that some have good success after a good ventYour post lightened my day and it is always good to stay in a positive mind set while trying to lose weight. I am off to do a "Ripped"(Cardio-weight work-out) DVD to see if that breaks my weight loss stall. Venting might be easier if it works I will have to try it!

Skinjob, I was wondering if you have tryed upping your exercise to try to break through your plateau or does it just make you hungrier? I think it does get harder to lose the leaner we get and it can get really frustrating!
Hope we all get a nice whoosh soon!

Well, rats....that didn't work at all. Still in the middle. Dang.

Or maybe she just took a wrong turn on the way to my house and got lost in one of the casinos on the strip?

Here, whoosh fairy, over here!!

Rats.

Have you tried posting your UD/DD calories to see if anyone can pinpoint what's going on?

Marianne - Hope the vent works!

I seem to have a tendency to 'dance around' at certain points on the scale when I'm losing that, in the past, I also danced around when I was gaining. It's frustrating as all get-out when we're trying to lose, but we think it's niiiice when we're not actively dieting.

But... when I'm dancing around a certain range on the scale while trying to lose, I'm noticing much greater loss of inches than I do when I show a scale loss every other day or so. And that is how I gained, too. I could eat and eat and EAT (for a while) and not gain anything, but my clothes sure were getting tighter.

Hoping that you see some downward movement soon because I know that's what most of us have programmed in our head to validate losses. How about trying on some old clothes (if you still have them around) that you'll positively 'swim' in because they're way too big to help remind yourself that you have lost? That always helps me a lot.

A gambling problem might explain why she is so unpredictable !(I hope I don't offend the whoosh fairy)

You are so right Sheridan about getting stuck at similar weights on the way up. I didn't mind the set points then and with perseverance I managed to move past them! I am sure the same is true for our journey back down.
Finished my workout, sure hope I can move tomorrow...

Skinjob, I'm wondering if you've recently done a complete physical and lab tests for possible health issues that may be hindering your loss? I'm baffled as to why it hasn't worked for you at all through all this time. I feel your frustration and are hoping you can figure something out that will help get you on your weightloss track!

Well, now THAT explains everything!

Me no like the Idle Fairy.

If we leave out cookies and milk for the Whoosh Fairy like we do for Santa, think we can coax her to come back to work?

I agree Dawn! I think the cookies, pizza etc. tend to scare her away but if she is on vacation I bet she will need to come back to JUDDD soon!

Ah - HA! So, we have the culprit, the whoosh fairy snatcher! You best be sending her sparky little butt to Las Vegas on the Express Flight!

Step away from the whoosh fairy everyone else, and no one gets hurt.

By the way, congratulations on the loss! That's what I am looking for too. If that middle number was a 6, I'd probably faint dead away.
