Cocktails, anyone?

Is it OK to drink alcohol in moderation (say....2 drinks) on up days? If so, is there anything thats "better" to drink? I like just a couple of plain old miller lite bottles with my husband on my deck after the kids have gone to bed on a Friday night. Should I toss that?

As long as you account for it in your calorie allotment for the day, it's fine. ANYTHING is allowed, as long as it doesn't take you over the limit, calorie-wise.

Many of us are wine/cocktail drinkers. JUDDD doesn't care where you get your calories, just that they are under a certain amount. I wouldn't advocate drinking ALL your calories, but I doubt it would make much difference to the JUDDD gods if you did.

Heck YES! I can tell you, my DH also figures in a beer for DD's if they land on a FRiday like today does for us. On DD's, I only EAT my calories, but DH chooses to allow for a beer!

Oh, heavens to mergatroid, yes.

No restrictions outside of calories - consume them as you wish. (Just be careful as too many causes lack of inhibitions, causes....the munchies.....or so I hear.)

Find out the calories in the Miller Lite bottles of beer and add them into your day's totals. That's about all there is to it.

DH and I just enjoyed a *double* vodka tonic this afternoon while we waited for some work to be done for us. Delicious.

People who are only *this close* to the edge between losing weight and not being able to lose weight may find that drinking pushes them over the edge into the *no weight loss* camp, especially if they are people who don't count calorie one to begin with.

But on JUDDD, we just go by the calorie numbers - period - so what choices you make to get those calories is totally up to you.

If you allow sufficient of your UD calories to cover a couple of cold beers in the evening while you sit out on the deck with your husband, that sounds very pleasant. Isn't it nice that you can enjoy those things and still be doing JUDDD correctly?!!! Yay!

Sunday was a DD and we went to a baseball game. I am not afraid to admit I guzzled a beer in the nearly 100 degree heat!

I'm so not giving up a glass of wine or a lovely cocktail whenever I want on up days.
That is just crazy talk.
Wine and cheese keep the sun rising in the east, don't they?

I'm hoping to have a frozen strawberry margarita tomorrow (UD). I bought some sugar-free mixer from Netrition, and I hope it will be good. I still need to buy the tequila though.

We should have a party. I have tequila but no mixer! I do have lemons and salt though, so I guess I can make do.

I only do it on UD's. And I kind of throw out the counting calories for that day if I have more than a few. I usually gain some water weight but it comes back down in the next week after getting back on the JUDD track.

There are people who actually mix Patron with something? (Well, besides salt on the hand and a wedge of lemon...) That's just crazy talk.

Have any of you heard of Betheny Frankel? She makes something called Skinney Margarita drink mix. I heard she's coming out with a couple of new Skinney drink mixes soon

I actually have a bottle of Skinny Girl Margarita in my cupboard.

One of my favorite liqueur drinks is X-Rated. It is a vodka fusion that has blood orange, mango and passion fruit juice in it. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Last night I had two Blue Hawaiis - coconut rum, blue curacao and pineapple juice. Pretty tasty.
