Man, that's scary, momacat! I, too, have been wondering if horsetrainer is recovering okay.

I thought about her a lot this past week. My DH was bitten on his finger last Saturday by a Black Widow spider! That, and the Brown Recluse, are the only two venomous spiders in our area of the country. I was really glad it wasn't a BR, because it seems the after effects are much nastier. But I have to say, I had no idea a Black Widow bite was so serious, and SOOOO painful. I read that their venom is 15 X more toxic than that of a rattlesnake, but of course, they can't inject much. My DH is recovering slowly, but still taking some hydrocodone for the pain.

Man, I feel for anyone affected by anything like this!

Laurie, awfully sorry about your hubby. Hoping he is doing better and recovers completely very soon. Keep us posted. Hope you are still happy as ever too!

Thanks for your well wishes for my DH. He's getting better every day, although it's still quite painful. I'm so grateful it wasn't a brown recluse. They're such terrible bites, and the after effects can be so long-lasting. I sure hope we can get an update on horsetrainer soon
