Only JUDDDD BUDDS know........

I have been dieting for as long as I can remember but this time it is different. I have not told a soul. Not my OH, my Mum, work colleagues....not a single soul.....except you JUDDDD BUDDS.
Why you may ask?
Well...when the weight loss starts to show, I want people to mention it because it shows. I have found that previously when I have mentioned that I am on a new diet, people say "oh you look like you've lost weight" even when I haven't lost a single pound.
I have now been JUDDDDing for just over 2 weeks and nobody even suspects that I'm on a diet. I have almost lost 6lbs so I know it is working.
I have enjoyed cakes at work celebrating birthdays and if it's a DD then I just leave it covered on my desk and eat it the next day. It's great that nobody knows

Here it is.

UK/Europe/Australian JUDDD posters

Just general chat really, but useful for the odd food or restaurant suggestion. Just nice to use the term stones and be understood, lol.

I did the same thing! Until, people started noticing. Then everyone asks, "What's your secret? How are you doing it?"

For me, I felt like every time I started trying to lose weight and talking about it, I would just set myself up for failure. This time, I wanted to do it just for me and me alone. I didn't even tell DH at first! And not even DD and she and I talk about weight loss plans all the time!

I think it's so great that you can put the cake on your desk, cover it and eat it on your UD. that is so cool. and, no one even knows you are dieting to lose weight!

Pretty soon you will have to fess up though. Like when I saw a friend at the grocery store a while back and she blurted out "OMG! Look how skinny you are!!!" And then, because she is chubby, she asked, "How did you lose so much weight so fast! You look great!"

You know I loved that conversation!!!

LEXY, I can't keep a secret, so I have told the world!

I am just so happy with this WOE and the great health benefits, that I want to shout it from the rooftops, and some of my family and friends would probably say that's exactly what I've done!

I don't really make a pest of myself, but if the subject of weight and weight loss comes up, or even is implied, I am not bashful about passing the info along. If I see them start to run and hide when they see me coming, then I'll let up!

Congrats on the weight loss, and being able to save the cake!

Carole

Of course, my dh knows about it, but no one outside the home, that is until today when my dear friend and neighbor made a lovely comment about how small I'm looking.

She's struggling with abut 15 lbs., and her sweet daughter is struggling with a lot more than that.

So, I couldn't keep it to myself so I shared the principles of JUDDD with her and her ears perked. I explained the details, and I offered the link here on LCF, and both she and her daughter will now be doing a lot of reading.

You are on my wavelength Yam Yam. You have just described my story as if those words had come out of my own mouth.
I have lost count of the times I have said that I cannot partake in something because I am on a diet. Then a few months later I feel a failure because I have lost very little or no weight.
I am so proud that I can leave a cake on my desk until the next day. I can keep looking at it but the desire is not so overwelming that I have to eat it there and then because I know that tomorrow I can eat it guilt free. Somehow this WOE makes you see that in a different way and the urge to eat those treats do not take over your life.
Arkie1.....be assured....once the first person notices and mentions my weight loss, I will be shouting the JUDDD secret from the roof tops

I'm not even telling everyone who asks...you know those people in your life who ask, criticize, reject, or try to compete? I hate it, so I have only told hubby and sons. And I also didn't want to set myself up for failure. Besides, IF isn't a diet. I'm choosing a lifestyle of intermittent fasting, my DIET is exactly the same...whole, organic, real, and focused on nutrients I need for my personal health challenges

Loving it Sazzy.
I hope to have that day in my life soon. I have eaten dinner tonight with my DH, his meal was probably about 1000 calories and mine was just under 200. I think the reason he has not noticed my new WOE is because tomorrow will be my UD so in the evening we will eat the same for our meal, possibly have a glass of wine and then coffee with some chocolate.
Loving it.

Another 2lbs down......and still nobody suspects YEY!!!

Am heading into the city this morning for some retail therapy with a friend.
Last time we went, we had to search for somewhere to eat that fitted into my WOE at the time but today when she askes "where shall we eat for lunch?" I can say "completely your choice today!!!" (as I'm on an UD)

I love it, I love it, I love it! Just that. People are so used to me being "difficult". Now even on a DD I will go into almost any restaurant. I may only eat a starter, or have diet coke and a bit of something. But generally I arrange my life around the UDs and then I so enjoy the relaxed feeling.

Enjoy your retail therapy and the sunshine!

well yes I did enjoy the retail therapy and the sunshine in the city of Norwich.

We went into Chopstix for lunch and then when we returned had a coffee and piece of carrot cake in the garden while the sun was still shining.

Was so lovely to not worry about going off the rails and blowing the diet

Have a good one and all xx

I am the same, i haven't told my fiance or anyone else and it is SUCH an easy diet to hide.On down days I save most of my cal till dinner and have a small serve of something or tell him I had a big lunch and I'm not that hungry. I'm at work so he has no idea I've been fasting. AND because every second day is an UD, I eat whatever I want (within reason). its so great becuase I can plan the diet around my life and for the 6 years we have been together, the poor bugger has had to deal with me always being on a diet (and me being moody cause I have always felt deprived). We had tacos and hot chips on the w/e. I would NEVER have ever done that usually, or if I did I would feel guilty for the week... I just love this freedom, and I know I'm only a couple of weeks in, but my pant's definantly feel more comfortable

With four birthdays this month, this WOL is definately freedom in a box with a bow. No longer sweating the celebrations. My new motto is relax and enjoy.

Enjoying UD makes the DD so painless! I have a student who comes by and asks about my plan once in a while, but I think he is doing so more out of curiosity that I enjoy fasting more than out of wanting to try JUDDD himself. He commented that he could never fast and I told him that I used to feel the same way, but then I thought about it and we actually fast from dinner to breakfast every day anyway, so what is so different about adding a few more hours to both days? After I said this, he came back to me and said that he is now interested in researching the benefits! He doesn't look overweight, so he could basically start JUDDDing at maintenance level. I am happy to share what I have learned.

Wow.... that phrase "no longer sweating the celebrations" just really hit me. That's so fabulous, and to worry about celebrations is really just so sad! Thanks, JUDDD, for another way to lose/maintain.

Yesterday was the closest I have been to revealing my JUDDD secret! My fiance went and bought these special marinated chicken quarters from the butcher and said " i got these for dinner tonight". My DD. 6 Weeks I had kept my secret from him and the world. I told him I was taking it easy with the food cause of period cramps and bloating
my secret is safe again...... for now... and tonight, I'm sure as hell gonna enjoy that chicken

Which, of course, is 137% true.

I especially like watching my calories when we go out to a fancy restaurant on an UD. They are always arranged so beautifully!
