Advice re birthday!

Hi all, I'm a new starter, I have been JUDDDing for four days - all going well so far.

Next Friday is supposed to be a Down Day, but it is my daughter's birthday and this will involve a huge amount of cake and pizza! I know it will be very hard for me to resist. How would you all deal with this? Would you just have two up days in a row and then straight back into the rotation? Or would you have two down days beforehand? Or should I be absolutely strict and not allow myself to indulge (which will probably not happen). I'm not really sure what is the best way to handle it. Your advice would be really useful

Two DDs in a row is never recommended. Reducing calories to that extent that cause your metabolism to drop tooooooo low. People who try it usually report feeling terrible/sick on the second day.

If it was me, I would just have two UDs in a row then change the rotation with a DD on Sunday. Even though you have not been doing the JUDDD Dance long, a couple of DDs should put it all right.

Life happens. As long as it does not happen too often, JUDDD forgives.

You currently would have Mon (DD) Tue (UD) Wed (DD) Thu (UD) Fri (DD), so in order to have Birthday Friday become an UD for you, simply follow your schedule for Mon-Tue-Wed as written, and then have Thursday be a Medium Day (MD) which will be calories half way between you UD & DD numbers, and then continue on with Friday as an UD. Happy Birthday!

Saturday will be a DD, Sunday an UD, and you just continue up/down from there.

MRSSMITH93! You have received some good advice on how to handle your DD's BD.

As far as feeling better about her turning 15....well, my kids range from 32 to 45, so I won't be much help! Just try to enjoy everyday with them, and I wish you all kinds of luck with a teenage daughter!

My DGD is turning 15 in September, so I'm sure my DD is feeling much as you are!

My DGD turned 13 last Sunday! Man, I love teenagers. They are soooooo fun. My two kids kept us laughing at all times when they were teens. They have a great sense of humor. Just go with the flow and enjoy!

I agree with Pat's post. It's not usually recommended to use a MD in the first 2 weeks if you can help it. But to live and enjoy life, we just have to do it sometimes.

It will not interfere with JUDD magic. Just might slow you down by one day. So worth it! This is a way to live and not miss out on life's celebrations!

to your lovely daughter!!
