Newbie with a question!
So I have ordered the book and it is not here yet....I'm on day 3 which is a down day. Here is my question. On another site they referred to a Medium Day (MD). I have thoroughly red the Johnson website and cannot find it (or must me blind). Can someone explain this? Or is this just a justification for 2 UDs in a row?

Dr. Johnson calls them in-between days or something like that. They are used if you want to keep your schedule the same each week. It's the average of your UD and DD calories. You can also use a MD to change your rotation if a special event falls on a DD; you'd insert a MD between the previous DD and your scheduled event.
That being said, many people have found they have difficulty with MDs and they aren't recommended for at least the first 2 weeks to a month while your SIRT1's are building up. I've been JUDDDing for 5 months and have only used a MD once, when I had to.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am loving the freedom that I see about this WOE! That was always the hardest thing for me when LCing. Summer especially. We would go to a cookout or a party or a family gathering and there was NOTHING that was LC! People would say "a little bit won't hurt ya'". GRRRRRR!!!!

A hear ya!! I'm going to be facing that in a little over a week when I travel cross country and spend a week with my family. Yikes!! They are real foodies. Nothing healthy, though. It's always, "ya gotta try this! It's delicious!" and it hurts their feelings if I don't!I'm really gonna be praying that the sirtuin enzymes are doing double duty! But, even if I gain some, from experience I know it will be gone after one or 2 DD rotations! This is a great and flexible and forgiving WOE! Woo=Hoo!

True, true, all true.
This is just the easiest way to maintain. Love that SIRT1 enzyme. |
