For anyone who keeps their days "set"....how's that working for you?
OK - I love JUDDD - I really do - but I am having a heck of a time lately on the weekend. Particularly if I have an UD on Friday, then somehow I end up having 3 in a row. It's family time for us - and also lots and lots of functions this time of year, and I end up skidding off the rails what feels like each and every weekend. I am maintaining, but not losing. (Which I suppose is good given how bad some of these days have been...
)So - I know ideally the daily rotation of UD, DD, UD, DD is best, but is there anyone out there who has set it in a similar way to what I am considering? M, W, F - DD's T, TH, Su - UD's Sat - MD So - starting on Monday each week I would go: DD, UD, DD, UD, DD, MD, UD Lather, Rinse, Repeat. I think if I had Sat as a mid day and Sunday as an UD each week, I would have a much better time sticking with the rotation - and during the work week, DD's are MUCH easier for me to stick with. Anyone having luck with such a rotation? I don't want to throw up my hands and walk away, just really need to find a way to make this work with my life without feeling so frustrated. Thanks!

Did this and it did NOT work for me because that MD (mine was Sunday) turned into UD/FD most times. I actually have been gaining weight and am now on the straight rotation again to get the weight off and back to my goal weight again.
Here is a thread that Jo started about her experience, too: Recommitting To A Month Of Juddd Weight Loss Mode - Support needed! Last edited by Beeb; 05-07-2012 at 10:43 AM.. |

I do M/W/F up days, T/TH/S down days and Sun. a medium day. This works for me since I get together with friends every Fri. night. I find that if I stick to this way of eating I will lose weight...regardless of being off the "normal" rotation.

Marianne,
I started JUDDD about 7 weeks ago and the first few weeks I did the set schedule you suggested. I just did not want my weekends to be effected. I was not losing very fast and was seeing a need to recover from each weekend. After reading several of the JUDDD veterans say stick with a strict rotation I decided to do so for the month of May. I actually started it the last week of April and although the weight is still coming off slowly I do not have as much to recover from after the weekend. I will continue to do the strict rotation through May and then evaluate what to do from there. I have convinced myself that when I reach goal I will do a set schedule. I will have to see. Also, some can do this, some can't and the only way to see if it will work for you is give it a try!
How about PJ's MUDDD WOE? That may also work for you! PJ's *Muddd'ing* |

Well - was just reading through Joedi's thread:
Recommitting To A Month Of Juddd Weight Loss Mode - Support needed! And realized that perhaps my grand plan wasn't so grand after all.....darnit. So, I just need to commit to the rotation as written as much as possible - which brings me to this weeks problem now. I had preplanned a mid day in on Saturday, as I have a 5k/obstacle course/mud run that day, and also have mother's day/my birthday on Sunday so need that to be an UD. The only way I can figure this out is to stick to the plan for this week, having that one random mid day on Saturday, so that Sunday comes out ok, be quite strict with my DD (and UD) numbers during the week, Enjoy the cookout on Sunday, then starting next Monday go into strict rotation mode again and in the words of Tim Gunn.....MAKE IT WORK. So, no standard Mid-days for me. Get back in the saddle and do my best to stay there. So far, for my DD today, I am only at 240 calories, and it is 5:00 in the evening. I am freezing, and not really hungry, so I think the Sirt1 gene is still active and doing it's thing (I hope anyway!) So, all right JUDDD BUDDs, guess I am (mentally anyway...and for today...) back on track! |

I did it for one weekend at my third week and it was a disaster - erased my earlier losses (pathetic though they were) and set me back another couple of weeks to get back to where I was. Full disclosure though my UDs were more like FDs so it might not have been only the rotation that threw me off. Good luck!

I've been maintaining this way:
M, W, F - DDs Tues, Thurs, - UDs Sat - Fast 5 Sun - FD I'd like to make Sunday a Fast 5 day as well but so far have not been able to. Been doing this for three weeks now and am maintaining even though I go way over on Sundays. I most likely go over at least some on Sat. too because I have sugar that I do not have during the week. But doing the 'Fast 5' keeps it from becoming the UUAAD that Sunday usually is. It's not perfect and I'm working on (and getting better at) getting my weekend under control. Once that happens I can up my calories during the week. For now my weekday numbers are still in wlm. |
