OMG
My salad kept me full all day so far (it's 6.25 pm here) Just had some porridge as per plan. Made it with oat bran and water and Splenda and a grated apple. Not a single twinge of hunger all day - the first time for a DD. Very thirsty though, which makes sense if you are eating a lot of fibre. Now I feel as if I can do this WOE. DDs were really tough and I was wavering about continuing. I keep checking the calories to see if I have made a mistake. 483 ![]() The protein only scheme did not work for me. Next DD I'll try beans on wholemeal toast as this is a classic UK meal. Heinz Baked Beans - tons of satiety and resistant starch on top of another high satiety food. It makes sense- porridge and beans on toast and lots of potatoes are classic peasant food. The sort of thing mums would fill their family up on when food was short. As is pearl barley added to stews (my mum used to do that) Not sure about trying the noodles. I can't find them in the shops and I would prefer to eat "real" foods. Also with the digestive activity problem... Really chuffed.

Way too much time on my hands!

Unhappily, 12 oz. of steak is usually 650 calories and up, depending on the cut of steak, and that's more calories than many devote to their entire DD.

Not so sure about the oatmeal. A few niggles of emptiness kicked in just before bedtime but I lasted on less than 500 for the first time.
Of course it could be the magic kicking in at last. But I'm having a salad Nicoise every down day from now on. Healthy as well as delicious. |

Found this list on a site linked in another post and thought it fit here very well.
