Shakes?

For those of you who had shakes for the first 2 weeks (as well as those of you who are still drinking them), what kind do you like?

I am particularly interested because I have a LOT of food intolerances (lactose, whey protein, and a slew of others).

I don't do exclusively shakes or protein bars, but on DD's I enjoy a pure protein shake for 23 grams of protein and 120c

Tbh, as someone with a LOT of food intolerances, it's kinda pointless for me to ask for recommendations.

Start researching. Read labels. Read reviews. Nobody here is gonna know all your food issues so it will probably be more time efficient to do the leg work yourself.

I ask for recommendations and then research the ingredients in said recommendations. I am fairly certain the first recommendation I got will work for me

It's a little hard to know where to start, so having someone point me in the right direction helps.

these are good but I remember someone posting that they taste better if poured into a glass. they are packaged in a metal screwtop bottle.

I use Twin Lab Whey Protein Fuel. One scoop is 130 calories and 25g of protein and I have that with almond milk (one cup = 40 calories). I have these on UDs and DDs for the simple fact that I love them so much.

I use True Nutrition. Around 100 cals per serving. 27g protein and just over a gram of carbs. It's the best price I've found and totally customizable nutritionally. I find the "natural" flavors taste best. They're sweetened with stevia. True Nutrition | Milk Protein Isolate (1lb)

WOE: Primal as of Aug 2011/JUDDD (started 1/13/12)

I ordered the Sun Warrior as well. I bought the Warrior Blend, and got a 500g bag of the Rice protein in vanilla for free. So far, I've only tried the Rice protein, and like it.

I also have food intolerance/allergy issues. Milk/whey, eggs, and I avoid soy, so it makes finding a protein powder tough. I was thrilled when someone posted this one in the Protein powder thread.

I've had it with just almond milk, and with fruit, or almond butter and a banana added in. So far, I've liked everything I've done to it.

I am lactose intolerant. Whey too. I can't eat shellfish or a long list of fruits (banana, avocado, kiwi, watermelon, mango). I can't eat eggs on an empty stomach (e.g. for breakfast).

I'm hoping the Sun Warrior will work for me.

Food intolerances make eating challenging, let alone dieting

Tina, is the rice protein gritty? I'm having a hard time with the grittiness of the warrior blend. I like the flavor and it's very satisfying, I just feel like I'm chugging sand.

It's not a shake but GenSoy bars in Choco Fudge Brownie are so good I eat them on both days. Thet are 220 calories and 14 grams protein. Def not LC. Very yummy!

I love the sun warrior brand, haven't tried the blend yet, only the pure protein. I like chocolate flavour a lot, not so much the vanilla. And I don't think it is gritty.
