FD again, as I often do Sat & Sun as FDs. Plus today we are having family over for a couple bday celebrations.

B
-green tea w/stevia
-tastes of Mediterranean salad recipe as I was putting it together
-1 oz. almonds

L will be 1:30 or so.
Not sure whether I'll go for grilled hamburger or hotdog. There will also be store-bought baked beans and potato salad, though if I have any it will be small amounts (I just love those two flavors eaten together though!!). I'm going to make guacamole so I'll definitely be having that with tortilla chips. And the Mediterranean salad I made this a.m. Might have a taste of lemondaid. And there is cake in my future, lol, but just a small piece of chocolate and maybe a small piece cinnamon roll "cake" I picked up on sale at Kroger. No ice cream needed for me. Black coffee to go with dessert.

DD - so not much eating here but like zipp2play said that means MWF are UDs which is much easier for my schedule! Have to survive a BBQ today without eating. If I get home early enough (traveling) this afternoon I might try to make a gluc pudding for the first time or make the PB and jelly protein bars that got rave reviews here. Happy Judding all!

I'm no expert but from what I've read, it's not as important as getting in your UD calories. Dr. J mentioned in the book that fasting every other day is the ideal result but restricting calories in that 20-40% range makes it more manageable.

I did too but I'm finding this groove with DDs lately where it's getting easier to fast or snack on pickles and then have a "real" meal with DH. Also it helps keep my DD cals down! And since I've been stalled forever, I have to do something to get it going again.

We started eating at 1:30 and I just quit gorging at about 3:00. Wow, did I eat! I was very hungry by the time it was ready to eat, and I had almost 2 hotdogs loaded with the toppings, 2 servings of potato salad, 2 servings of baked beans, 2 servings of macaroni salad, 2 servings of a Mediterranean salad I made, 2 servings of tortilla chips and guacamole, 2 big pieces of watermelon, lemonaid...

oh man, oh man, I really did it to myself! Just had to take some Pepto-Bismol, and I still don't know if it's going to help...

This is the first time I've overeaten in 2 weeks, since my Gma's pizza party. Other than that I've pretty much kept to small meals that are on the healthy side. I haven't had this cookout type of food for a long time, and I went overboard cause it all tasted so darn good and cause I let myself get too hungry before I ate. Ugh. Ugh. Can I get another ugh?

Company is still here, but they're outside and I'm on the bed for a little while to recuperate. And we still have the cake(s) and ice cream to get through!

Must repeat: I do not have to eat everything all at once no matter how good it tastes... there will always be more of it to eat... can have more another time....

I'll be glad to get back to my regular foods after today, lol. But otherwise I've quite enjoyed the day.

Actually ended up being 3 glasses of wine and many ounces of almonds... the munchies! OK, I think the lesson is finally drilled in.... I can't expect to sit here and drink more than a glass or two of wine without it messing with my appetite and sleep.

And I want to continue my "experiment" of not drinking during the week since that went great last week.

Ah, thank you, Valerie! It seems like the burning stomach issue was related to wine drinking after all (boo hoo) since it stopped hurting this week after I stopped my nightly wine. And since I drank 3 glasses tonight, it now hurts some. So I can't get away with it like I used to. But that's a good thing in a way, cause less is fine.

I'm THRILLED for you and how great you're feeling now too!! So glad all is well in JUDDD world! Have a good day.
